i have both at home. pretty much stopped using pc. it's too much pain to keep it clean.
also many of clients i work with gives me mac formated files and fonts. though i have to say, if you are doing a lot of web development, pc is a better option.

Tell them it is absolutely imperative that you can see, first hand, just how shite any flash sites you build will run on 3% of the worlds machines.

PCs have way more games available...load them up and watch productivity go way down. There's your extra costs, the production department knocking off for a 2-hour halo2 lunch LAN.

My comments had nothing to do with snobbery. I use Macs, but admit I probably should have Switched™ by now.
The irresponsible comment was based on finances. It's wasteful to throw away new computers. You could sell them, but you'd lose too much.
The comment about working for the wrong people was about how they regard your skills. It was not based on OS. Your comfort level with an OS and probably some software that you can't get on one as opposed to the other should matter.

Both a means to an end.
And as I'm involved with IT, I would recommened that any small company can save literally thousands by using PC over Mac.
For the cost of an average spec mac, I'll bet I could buy 3 matching PC's for around the same price.

You could buy a cheap ass PC from PC world or dixons and run photoshop, freehand, whatever just fine for £399. Possibly even less.

I would say you can work with Mult files faster since you got expose with mac osx...

If that happen to me... i would be using my powerbook instead of there pc :PMaybe if u need to work on a mac that bad... and you have been at this company for a long time... maybe work something out that you pay the extra for a mac then over time work that mac off so its yours?
