Seriously, you should take this opportunity to at least learn a bit about the pc, it will make you more marketable. I use both at work, I like the differences.
I'm not an anti-mac guy, but when mac dudes start talking about "higher IT costs" and shit like that they have no true idea what they are talking about, just admit it is a personal preference.

PC's are what monkeys use, Designers use macs.
end of story. If you are a designer who likes pc's. chances are you like to do a bit of code.....makes you a monkey.

Personally I like working on both. I build pc and know them very well. But I love the feel of OSx. Cant wait for vista btw. Just start pointing out all the cost that they need to incure for switching. Buying new software, fonts (which can be huge if you've got a ton) and whatever else. Sounds like IT is just scard of supporting macs. Most are! but if you can just point out all the stuff they will need to do you might trump his thoughts. Or you could just suck it up and work on a pc... its not bad. really!

Not knowing how to code makes you more money?

Personally I want nothing to do with fashion. I dont pay 100's of £££ for footwear, and I wouldn't pay ££££'s for something I need only pay £££'s for.
You are mugs.

(Mar 15 06, 01:44)This is the same reason I like PCs - because I'm more used to them. However, I had no problems using a MAC and therefore it's not a big deal to use a PC at work and MAC at home, or whatever. You just have to get used to it.
