Muslim heritage is the only civilized part of Iberia history.
Allah Akbar for that.

And everyone lived happily ever after under the benign and gracious rule of the Muslim Empire...

okay let me turn the cards a little...
Yes/No
Is 24/7 media enflaming the situation?
I'm well aware that the media didn't create these events, but do you think the SPAMing of it makes it worse?
- ********0
of course it does, same sh*t story with everything that goes on here. blah, blah. blah..... never stops

there was never ONE Muslim Empire Cactus. Maybe it suuits you to treat those people as a monolith. Oh, but you're not "anti-muslim" at all.

Where can I donate funds to Islamic Terrorism? I'm begining to see their point. Words and discussion and democracy with certain people are waste of time.

There is a clear history of the offensives launched by the prophent Mohammed:

Flemming Rose is the culture editor of Jyllands-Posten newspaper in Denmark, which originally published the cartoons
"I did not ask the illustrators to make the Prophet a laughing stock - I asked them to draw the Prophet as they see him.
In Denmark we have a tradition of satire and humour and some cartoonists made satirical cartoons. We have done the same thing with Jesus Christ and other religions. That's what we do with the royal family, politicians and other public figures. We were not treating Islam or the Prophet any differently from how we treat everybody else in Denmark.
The cartoons have given impetus to a very important debate about integration in Denmark. The debate on the one hand looks at how much the receiving community should compromise on their own values and standards when they are receiving foreigners, immigrants and refugees.
On the other hand the debate focuses on how much of their own culture immigrants have to give up."

again flagellum, you didn't listen to what i said.
Islam was developed in the midst of a tribal conflict amongst bedouins, one the tribes being that of the Quresh. They fought for the control of Mecca - a major trading city. When mohammed tried to unite the bedouin tribes he was expelled to Medina. Medina was a city founded by Jews with a large Jewsih contingent who inspired Mohammeds theology. It was his experiences in Medina with the Christians and Jews that led him to announce that they were people of the book and should be treated with respect. He then returned to Mecca to reattempt to try and unite the warring bedouin tribes, this time under the banner of Islam.
Once the bedouin's were united, and their position in Mecca was consolidated conversion was never the objective of subsequent Muslim dynasties.
They existeed as a minority in the middle east for hundreds of years, as they did else where (India, the whole of Buddhist central Asia etc..)
Do you honestly think I can't list pages of crimes committed by early medieval Christian groups in the name of Christianity?

moth, i have cross referenced the battles in numerous places. It is history. And one need only examine the Hadith and Quran to observe that Mohammed used force. Again, my point being only that one can see why there are certain groups who adopt this policy today...
"Allah's apostle was asked, "What is the best deed?" He replied, "To believe in Allah and his Apostle." The questioner then asked, "What is the next?" He replied, "To participate in Jihad in Allah's cause." (Hadith vol. 1, no. 25)."
In addition to killing infidels like Christians and Jews, Muslims are also commanded to kill anyone who leaves Islam (Hadith vol. 4, no. 260).
Sura 9:5 says,
"Fight and slay the pagans wherever ye find them, and seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every strategem of war."
Sura 5:33 records what is done to infidels who resist Islam:
"Their punishment is...execution, or crucifixion, or the cutting off of hands and feet from the opposite sides, or exile from the land."
Muhammad also burned out eyes with hot irons (Hadith vol. 1, no. 234) and deprived people of water until they died (vol. 8, no. 796).
