- I don't think any monotheistic religions are claiming there's my God or your God. There's one God but different messages at most.n Allah=God=JehovahBeeswax
- Depends on who you talk to but I think a spiritual belief in God can be rational, if you're not under the impression it's a being who is rational.CyBrainX
- My yeah was in agreement w/ intelliboybklyndroobeki
- A spiritual belief in "God" can be rational, it's when we assign names and declare my book is right and yours is wrong, which is most of religionformed

- ORAZAL, faith and religion can be a beautiful thing... but to say you KNOW is a down right lie. No one knows. And that's okay.inteliboy

What I have a hard time understanding is that even with all the bloodshed through centuries, people just shrug it off as "that was then, it's different now", and yet there's still horrible things happening in the name of religion (priest cover ups, ISIS, etc.).
If we eliminated ALL religion, would these things still go on? Surely humanity can be evil, but so organized, with such purpose? I don't know, maybe it would (looking at the nuts here in the US that have committed atrocities).
I just find it so hard to digest how people can shrug off parts of history, parts of a book but believe so heartily in other parts.
- Religion and politics are easy but ultimately misguided targets for blame. It's humankind that's the problem. As Slipknot say People = ShitMorning_star
- Right, but people not only created religion, they also are continuously revising interpretations and acting on those conclusionsformed
- Humans are naturally curious and insecure creatures. Myth and lore evolved as a canon of natural wisdom. Clever humans created religions when they realised...Morning_star

- Isnt religion more to do with politics once it becomes a religion as opposed to a practice?yurimon

“In the last few decades, the phrase ‘Jesus take the wheel’ has become quite popular,” said General Motors CEO Mary Barra. “Originally meant as a form of general life advice, it’s been taken literally by millions of religious Americans. Our studies have shown that far too many drivers are letting go of the wheel during critical moments. As a result, car accidents in the USA have risen exponentially every year. The Bible Belt has been hit particularly hard. It's tragic.”
