not entirely neccessary to have another thread - but I'll be stopping by the local fur shop on my way home to make sure they don;t have any seal fur.

Greenpeace has failed to point out that Gustave Poirier, the seal hunter in the film, later testified under oath to a Canadian Parliamentary commission that he had been paid by the film crew to carry out the seal-skinning. Seal hunters have never practiced skinning of live seals, simply because skinning dead seals is far easier to accomplish.
The image of the whitecoat harp seal is used prominently by seal hunt opponents. This image gives the false impression that vulnerable seal pups are targeted by sealers during the commercial hunt.
The hunting of harp seal pups (whitecoats) and hooded seal pups (bluebacks) is illegal - and has been since 1987. Marine Mammal Regulations prohibit the trade, sale or barter of the fur of these pups. Furthermore, seals cannot be harvested when they are in breeding or birthing grounds

i remember you "did" something, couldn't remember what though..
anyways, i don't want actions to harm people.
i want this to harm the acceptance of this horrible abuse of animals for luxury purposes.

I overheard some bitch at beaver creek this weekend talking about how her coat was real fur so i walked past and told her I hoped she got hit by a bus in it.
She looked like she was about to cry.

i was jogging last summer with my shirt off and some freak greenpeace chick ran up and tried spraypaining on my fur.
boy were we both embarrased when i told her i was just really hairy.
we later made love.
seriously though. i sent an email to the link vorm posted earlier in the day against this. not sure if it will help but man i hope so. the pic on the site as just horrific.

i heard a story about a lady that was wearing a real fur coat got hit by a bus the day before xmas while buying presents for her 6 kids

i emailed the guy who runs that site. he is now in Canada but will go -back- to the UK in a week or so. He responded quickly and was really nice. He said he will have it hosted elsewhere soon so the Canadian authorities will have a lot of trouble trying to take it down.
Because that just might happen.
