i would like to see some design elements on behalf of kodap on these, anyone know if he's around ?
always liked his style...

1 more... are you reading the ID3 from those mp3 [php or through flash] or the title/songname was hardcoded into the xml?
great job, btw.

I have no problem with enobrev's player. I've seen some of unfit's stuff and it rocks too. Either or, whichever is the easiest and most effecient to use.
- bulletfactory0
nice enobrev.... looks like things are coming together.

see it's good and all, but at what point do people drop off the project... lol like fate was saying, motivation is a big thing.

one idea:
php can rd mp3 ide3 tags, if those include the genre, artist, name, year, one can create separate xml files, depending of the filter we could include.
that would have to be done server side, the rest would be up to flash. no db required.
bitch.
- mr_snuggles0
personally I have nothing better to do these days, but I'm still pretty clueless when comes to the technical aspect of all this!

good idea. love xml and it's ability to do away with the dB. i'm assuming this will depend on the capability of the host then..? so it's basically making sure each mp3 has all the right credentials?
- mrdobolina0
I already do all the shit that you guys want me to, and I do it every week, so Id be innit to winnit.
- unfittoprint0
exactly.
if mp3 have all the important info [artist, genre, etc...], you don't need a db, just a php file to read the directory, make a filtered array and outuput it as xml et voilá.
that's easy.
the problem will be the server load. that will be brutal.
- enobrev0
well, flash's id3 reading is generally shit. Not that the class I'm using for php is all that much better, but it takes the weight off of the player. It also allows us to use a database or soemthing instead of relying on id3 if necessary.
As far as the design is concerned I would hope you could do better than center the thing. It looks like something out of 2000, which is about the extent of my design prowess.
And yeah unfit, it's being streamed from my server.
And no to the higher sample rate. From what I know that's the right speed unless it's recorded fast.
- enobrev0
and yeah.. streaming off the server is incredibly brutal. So we'll need to either go from eveyrone's servers or find some backalley host with some obscenely generous bandwidth price.
- unfittoprint0
cool. well I asked about the sample rate because I had some issues with it recently.
- mr_snuggles0
I'd be more than happy to offer up some design or help or whatever I can do, like I said, I have nothing but time these days...
- enobrev0
there's some kind of bug how flash handles sample rates. I recall dealing with it too, just don't remmeber the specifics.
- unfittoprint0
//media temple nt only access.

lol
- CaP0
was that ironic?

in more ways than one ;)

i'm not on MT. wtf?
