I say at first let's beta-test the thing and keep it simple and then try to differentiate it later.

or what if everybody just put their tracks on their own server and the xml file pulls the tracks from each of our sites, that way the bandwidth is spread around...

right, also a possibility. that's what I meant by source the .mp3 in relation to dob's post. good idea too. whatever works and is easiesy to manage. but then we need to have a team of posters, not everyone and their grandma. although my grandma is quite cool. ;)

ok.. well i grabbed the domain name.. and i have an easily skinnable flash based mp3 player that i wrote, which also hgas a backend to automagically read id3 tags from a directory and list those songs in the player.
So, I guess we need to have logins or somehting...
