yeah but that's what I am saying, you have to have control on which people are going to be choosing the songs. This will get out of control unless we decide on a team. We can't have random people trying to connect to the player, playing porn crap and highlighting only their own work, just because they are NT members with a password right? (x_o)

Know what? As much as this should be a community thing, I think that those dudes I mentioned should just team this up. Too many hands in the pot will F' it up.

BonSeff, this was basically, your idea, a good one, why not create an Email list/exchange listing all the people here and the people that you know for sure would be interested in it. I can't touch my personal mail here. Anyway, that might organize it...?

ok, well here's the player
pay no attention to the shitty design of it. I leave such things to the likes of you bastards.
Pretty easily skinnable, as everything is a basic 1 - level library item.
The backend is a php script that searches the directory, reads the id3 tags, makes an xml file for the player.

enobrev, very nice, similar to iTunes reading the id3 tags, very smooth. we could use this, just center the thing like a large player on the page and boom, let it fly.
