i 'd for the "thinking americans", the veil of Holiday seasons, while often meant to spread goodwill like STDs, is not applicable this year when so much is not right with our make believe world.
all you can do is be nice to one another, all year long, but justice is always auspicious...and you can't mark the prices down for that.
peace and justice on earth
if you want it

I find it hard to believe that people are offended by merry Christmas. I'm not offended by it

Blofeldt, the argument is that Creationism IS scientific.
Are you aware that Evolution does not even qualify as a Scientific Theory (its neither testable nor observable)? So, its a "belief". Not to mention that it flies in the face of scientific laws, such as Entropy - II Law of Thermodynamics. What people need to realize is that the alternative to Creationsim is a faith-based belief. This is because it is unscientific to suggest that matter and cognizant life sprang from nothing. It is unscientific to suggest that species developed from one to another when there has never, I repeat NEVER been a transitional form between species discovered.

There is no archaelogical/historical findin that proves the earth is NOT millions of years old. There is Geological finding that the earth is billions of years ago.
You see archaelogy and history tends to deal with humna societies. Anything that predates that kinda gets ignored by historians/archaelogists. For that you normally have to turn to geologists and palaentologists who will all tell you the earth is 4billion or so years old.
Carbon dating is quite reliable. In fact very reliable.

how do we go form the polital correctness of a holiday to creationism vs the theory of evolution? ieeeeeee
BTW, me like'up resents too, gruntt :)

Hey diciper, what do you think when your religion’s rules change? Did God change them? Or did people change them.
You answer you're own argument in your last post.
'Naturalism' is difficult and scary. Because it throws up the chance that we aren't special. That we won't live for ever, and we're not chosen, just lucky and part of a cycle that will move on to something else in time.
Religion is nice, it gives you all the answers, It's much easier to believe that someone is watching over you, that you're chosen, not an lucky primate

we're all in transition, so we're all transitional species...that's a dumb argument.
it's 'unscientific' to suggest that matter and cognizant life sprang from nothing, yet that's EXACTLY what creationists believe, that god pulled it out of his ass.

i'm so tired of people getting offended so easily by others and their beliefs/practices. if someone wants to pray to God or Satan or Ali G, or sing christmas carols, then let them. as long as their beliefs don't harm others, what's the concern? stop looking to the government to censor our way of life and taking freedom away from the people.

Of course creationism is correct!
As everybody knows, when the elfs left middle earth the Human Era begun, and all the pre-historic beasts like the dragons and ogres, perished and transformed into rocks.
It is said that in some mountains you can still hear the dwarfs working hard in their subterranean world.
But of course it's bullshit, because they've died along with the dragons and ogres.

I completely agree that Science IS a belief system. However, I believe why science is believed is because we CAN see it work.
If you plant two seeds, and water one, and not the other, one will die and one will live. Is that because God killed it? Or was it because it didn't have the right conditions? Surely the variants in species show that habitat creates animals. How do you account for bacteria mutating to fight different antibiotics? Is God changing the bacteria's, and if so, why's he trying to kill us if we're so special.

there's only one explanation:
GOD is anal retentive.

You all should ask for a copy of this in your stockings by the way

Steve, I'm with you. We say merry christmas in our house and refrain from slaughtering cats in our backyard in the name of Jehova....no sense in spoiling a good mood.
