As everybody knows, when the elfs left middle earth the Human Era begun, and all the pre-historic beasts like the dragons and ogres, perished and transformed into rocks.
It is said that in some mountains you can still hear the dwarfs working hard in their subterranean world.
But of course it's bullshit, because they've died along with the dragons and ogres.
