How did you manage to spend six months on it? It doesn't look like a site that's had that amount of time put into it, from what you've said it's not particulary complex Flash and the design is pretty simple.

i'm still working on a client peice that's gone back and forth for over a year now... with nothing really to show for ourselves...
... so I can understand how there's only this comp after six months... next fun thing is charging them for alllllll that time that you've spent designing and redesigning.

Sure, I know you can easily have a project going on for a year, but how much time was actually spent working on it? How many hours went into designing and building it?

the site doesn't look very good and i saw typical (unmodified!) components/standardthingies in there..
i'd say it has more been thrown together then that it has been designed.
nothing wrong with using components tho, but try to make them fit the site more, or at least adjust the looks of them..

it took you one year to do that?! c'mon. for one year i would expect that shit to be done, packaged, and marketed. if i were the client i'd give you smack in the face and send you ass to small claims court for wasting my fucking time (one year) with a site that doesn't work.
sad over 3g's? idiot. its sites like this and how much you just got paid, that make potential flash client hard to get and why the argument 'flash sucks' is almost validated once looking at this nonesense.

jpolk......... nice blank page....... that would make you the authority on whats good and what isnt right.......
like you can say whether or not the kids work is good.... I mean maybe the client had an idea and he went with it...... sometimes unlike some people we dont design for ourselves we design with the client.....
and this site should at least be $8-10k ....I am sure they spent many hours going back and forth on bullshit....... and nothing came of it and mostly the clients fault....... and if all of you read it didnt take a year it took 6 months.......
I am sure he has been sitting around waiting for content and the guy has probably made this go on longer then it should .....
did you get paid the full $3k or are you still waiting for more payment cause if you are then I would expect that you will probably not get paid anytime soon
so to all the naysayers....... fuck all yall.......... $3k is too little but you were probably desperado like the rest of us.....

i'd say that is very worthy since there's many talent on this site.

you are an absolute moron... you are comparing what we do to heart surgery... I think that is pretty ignorant ....
there is no RIGHT way or WRONG way for how something looks... yes there is usability right and wrong..... but everything in this site is usable...
and be thankful for people berating some elses work and saying that he is lucky he got $3k ... the kid worked hard and deserves more......
like I am sure all of us came out with the best shit on the planet the first few times out......
this is supposed to be a support network ...... not a firing squad..... I think NT has its priorities mixed up..... and all of the people on here need to assess the reason why we are in the situation that we are in .....and why no client wants to pay $30k anymore for a simple website ........

i was reffering to the way of acting upon the situation being pretty ignorant, which is much different from personal namecalling.
And I am generally considered as being intelligent enough for debates like this.
