If bugs didn't exist, I'm certain I would enjoy gardening. As it stands, I hate it. Not that I am afraid of bugs. I just hate that creepy feeling they give me as they crawl up my legs or bite me, especially mosquitoes.

Last year the wife and i got so much enjoyment (and some produce) out of the garden that we're expanding this year. Got a seed starting shelf with fluorescents all set up. Gotta get some wood for the raised beds. We're both very excited

I'm contemplating using Zuzana Lickos' Modula Serif and Sans Serif families for a series of book covers. Its a wild card and a long shot, but I just can't find anything else that I feel like I want to use for this. Ugly as fuck though, I know.

I like Garage Gothic but it has a few vital glyphs missing. I did an identity and sleeve design job for a band in Peru which they then bought the rights to keep using locally rather than working with me every time. I must have had emails from every fucking day for months complaining that they didn't have P&C symbols etc and it really put me off using it again.

- ShariSee here's my problem: I'm creating the look for an author of gritty LA based detective fiction. Very film noir feel to it, very dark and dangerous psychopaths to be tracked down, so in many ways it is a very masculine thing and written by a man, but the 'cop' character is a woman, and the brief is to create a look that depicts the genre, but is fresh and has some standout from the generic cop fiction style, is led by a typographic treatment, is gritty and tough but also alludes to a femininity and can have some cross over appeal to attract female readers to a traditionally macho genre.
