I tell you why, because the UN is a crock of you know what!

if i am an apartment owner and i have a cat, it's wrong to kill my cat and it's wrong to starve it... both are the same...
if you live in my apartement and i kill your cat, that is also wrong... however, if i choose not to feed your cat, am i just apathetic? am i guilty of killing your cat?
well i think that's subjective...

because they have problems of their own and are looking out for their country's best interest.
I hate Bush, so dont even start that shit.

the same reason many countries have been tortured since colonization has taken place. Including USA, but not quite as much as what some countries have done.

we did in the uk, we went and bombed the fuck out of some mountains, don't think we hit anything or did any good.
then we got bored and went afer saddam instead, you'll note we didn't get him either

heh, i screwed up my analogy.
the point was other tenants of my apartment complex all have cats and the question is, what is my obligation to those cats....
does it have to do with my resources?

Money & power - that's what it's all about. USA will get involved with other countries when it suits them by either licking up to them or blowing the shit out of them. It wasn't that long ago USA funded Saddam cause they wanted Iran out of the picture.

thats' true

If it had happened in Britain it would have been as much of a wake up call as it was in the US.

do you want a body count of those innocent people killed by US soldiers in Iraq, Afganistan, etc.
no life is more precious than another. America always fought its wars at a distance and never saw the reality.
There seems to be a lot of talk about how it happened but very little of why. The concept of terrorism is strange sometimes. The US can arm and train the Muhajadeen when they are fighting Russia and then wonder whats happening when Bin Laden sets his sights on America. Would somebody who lost a relative in the bombing of Iraq that have been happening continually for the last ten years feel any less pain than somebody killed by the Saudi terrorists in new york. Important to remember that Bin Laden hates Saddam and sees him as an infidel. Ever since Saddam was supported and accepted help from the US while he was fighting with Iran.

yes, britian or any other country...

if it happened here do you think the US would help us as much as we offered to help them get osama bin liner?
- JazX0

In countries like the Us, and Britain, France etc... are biggest worries are the climb up the property ladders, or how many pints we drank last night...
We don't know we're born...

On the subject of who's responsible for starving nations etc - I think we all should be.
It make me sick to my stomach to see any nation spend billions on space travel or such luxuries while there are humans here on earth living and diying in complete misery.
I don't know how you go about that though - since we are all so fuckin greedy in the first place.

yes, shutdown.

Human = Monkey

try to check this analogy:
there is a homeless guy sitting on the street corner begging. You walk directly by him with your ipod blaring in your ears.
That is how.
