Radiohead is amazing. I'm not sure why. Probably more than one thing.
Either way, I think the concept of reading a thread backward is tite!

Seems my end of thread request didn't work... I have an opinion on why there are so many Radiohead fans.
I first heard them when I borrowed a copy of The Bends... and the person never got it back, I then kind of bought into Radiohead, and each album I've got, I was never disappointed, The Bends is still probably my favourite, purely from the amount I liked to listen to it... and I reckon this is like a lot of people, each album is different enough for you to try out, sometimes they may not be the corker that is The Bends, but they offer enough, and then you buy the singles for the B-sides etc...
I've had other bands like that, but they've fallen by the wayside simply coz they don't provoke enough interest in me.

never really dug the bends.
not sure why- nice songs, though rather the feelen sorry for themselves radiohead then the rock up and at em radiohead.

Thought the Bends was an okay record but lacked Indenity. Striaght forward pop rock with a twist of we like U2 in it. Its was okay and still is but never really moved me.
- CALLES0
Radiohead came out of hiding on Jan. 24th to do a special show to help raise money for the people of Haiti. A podcast from that nights set is up and available for download. It also includes a performance of a new song “Lotus Flower”.

- it's radiohead.********
- very interestingBennn
- They were great songwriters back in the day when they crafted The Bends and OK Computer.chukkaphob
- I always felt The Bends had an REM feel but OK Computer was just on another level entirely********
- artists are at their top creativity in their 20's ~ 30's ... its all downhill aftwerwardBennn
- This new stuff is just really mediocre at best. Had this been their first ever track, no one would pay attention to it.chukkaphob
- They're clearly out of ideas by now (which is quiet normal after 25 yrs of writing music) and are just resting on their laurels.chukkaphob
- never liked radiohead.sureshot
- They were great 19 years ago.Krassy
- they are playing at Madison Square Garden, not sure if I'm up for two hours of hearing someone cry while throwing tin pans around the stage...robotron3k
- Reminds me quite a bit of Arcade Fire.mg33
- they should fuck w dubstep********
- btw this song was EPIC********
- @mg33 yes, I can hear that, but Arcade Fire are 100 x better than this. Haha!chukkaphob
- Not a fan, sadly for me. Oh well, I guess I can't complain at over 20 years of musical awesumnuss - I've got my money's worth. :(detritus
- Was curious how they were going to do a proper album of a lot of old unreleased material.aliastime
- Sounds solid. I'm pumped for what's to come.aliastime

- In Rainbows was a unbelievable album. Not listened to their last one so consistently, but i like thisIanbolton
- In Rainbows is amazing. This new song is not doing it for me, though.********
- After 5 listening i can say this song is boring. Radiohead's golden age is behind us all.Bennn
- I think this is only a intro to the album.
which means more coming very soon.pango - From that first screen still, I thought it was heading in this direction:

New album isn't bad at all - having never bought anything or listened to the band at all in the past 50-odd years, i'm coming to this as a relatively new experience.
It sounds like the soundtrack to those creepy, Saturday morning public safety films they used to show in the UK - the kids being electrocuted while fishing near pylons, or the the guy wrecking his shit with the mat on the polished floor - because he'd only just come from the hospital.
Yeah, not bad at all. I really like it a lot.

Radiohead is the kind of band you have to gives 4-6 listen before judging.
People dont do this these days. We're at the age of "next" "skip" "scroll" "next" "skip" "scroll" "next" "skip" "scroll"- That said, I'm not saying that new album is good. I haven't listen to it yet. But I will give it a few full listen for sure before saying anything.Bennn
- It's new but more of the same RH -- which is a good thing IMO.fyoucher1
- I was working late yesterday and bought it when it appeared on iTunes, listened to it for the next four hours. It definitely grows on you, considerably so.face_melter
- It's an awesome headphone album. TKOL didn't click with me right away, but this one did.DRIFTMONKEY

- I hope the author got paid well for that because he should never write again.face_melter
- Everybody wants to be a fake Onion these days.mg33

Where can I stream the entire new album? I'm not very impressed with the first two singles but I'm interested in listening to the new version of True Love Waits.
- why is Thom Yorke so sad he has enough money to fix his wonk eye...robotron3k
- prophetone1
I bought about five off the new lp last night, really good imo. But honestly they'll never top Amnesiac.
- Bennn0
I will of course give it a few more listen, but i just finished my 1st listen and I didn't liked it at all.
- Yep. I'm with chukkaphob, they haven't been interesting for me since OK computer. Where did all the tunes go?MrT
- Hail to the thief is very solid. They lost me at In RainbowsBennn
- but Nude and All I Need on In Rainbows are pure bliss.Bennn
- oh and Reckoner on In Rainbows. Pure bliss too!Bennn
- Ya the new album is so far a mehpango
- Reckoner was an old song before it was on In Rainbows. I saw them play it live in '01

Who said that new album was Radiohead doing Radiohead rock like in the old days? I've read that a few times in the last days. Well its nothing like it. The album isnt rock at all.
After 3 listening. I only like 'Identikit' and some other small parts here and there.
- Nobody who's heard this would say that. This is Radiohead at their most melancholy.DRIFTMONKEY
- I remember Thom Yorke saying something to that effect for about the last 5-6 albums.CyBrainX
- fooler0
"I reckon if Thom Yorke fucking shit into a light bulb and started blowing it like an empty beer bottle it’d probably get 9 out of 10"
