You lot seem more uptight than their fans... perhaps you need to erect a windmill or something?
- schjetne0
Yeah sorry. You're right.
But seriously, don't Radiohead have a discussion forum or something were people can go to discuss Radiohead? Or could we just start ONE Radiohead thread here, where all Radiohead related posts go?
It's boring to dig through 35 Radiohead threads when looking for something else.

Radiohead - Sometimes you like them, sometimes you don't, some people will always like them, some people won't...

schjetne- relax?
radiohead are far from artsy, and far from alienating...
where do you pull this from?
am not trying to stick up for them in anyway- i just dont understand why people get so angry and uptight when radiohead comes up?!
so so so strange.
it seems if you become famous as a guitar rock band, it is too 'arty' to release anything that is otherwise?
and many radiohead threads?
have seen hardly any- and the ones i have seen are due to the fact that they just released a new friggen album- just the same when say massive attack released theirs, pv-an had a few threads on it.
woopee doo.

.... !
wooooooof.
schjetne, if you dont like radiohead thread why the fuck are reacting in this thread ???
Just dont read them dude. Have a cup of tee and relax a bit.Seriously, why when something become popular it suddenly become not ''cool'' ?? If I ask you what great album you like you will give some unknown names of bands from unknown places .... and people will say '' whoa, its a weird bands name i never seen, it must be pretty damn good i guess, and iam cool if a say i listen to it i guess'' I mean why its so tough to say ''I like Radiohead, their music is great, yeah they are selling millions albums, yeah they are fukin popular and a la mode but who cares ? its good!
And again, like always, i will say that everyone is free to like what they want, but everyone must repect the taste of each others.
And, I dont see where the POP is in Ok Computer dude .... i mean come on man!
Poeple act like teens at high school sometimes .... when something become too popular it become bad and uncool to like.
Anyway, i dont want to be agressive schjetne, i respect your taste but please respect others choices too.
I think radiohead is original, different and have their own sound. i think its not crappy stuff that take the basket after 4 weeks like: chevelle, stain, paparoach and all the fuckin bands with no talent that fload our cd stores each week. music with no feeling that die as fast as they arrive. But this is our time now, everything must be fast, and everything must be replaced fastly.
Ok i'll stop here, i may be not clear i think.

I will quote Engagestudio on this one: "Radiohead - Sometimes you like them, sometimes you don't, some people will always like them, some people won't..."

now you're talking.
but i can fell so much agressivity coming from you ...
peace man, dont be so stressed.
we are just talking music.hip the smile :)
iam happy and i like everyone.
really
- quamb0
yeah, thats what puzzles me! the grumpy anti-radiohead people.
- schjetne0
You are afraid of the things you don't understand.
No seriously. Thing is, I think Radiohead is an average band, that has gotten FAR too much respect for too little innovation.
It doesn't matter. We feel different about this. I was in a strange mood when I wrote the previous posts.
I'm still sick of the designer kids listening to Radiohead because they're supposed to, though.

This thread is strange if you read it backwards.
- BonSeff0
there there is a pretty well put together song. sorta reminds me of a little fugazi
- unknown0
I don't know what is worse, people saying the stuff about people getting uptight and defensive about Radiohead, or people saying they have not done anything unique.
- BonSeff0
i wanna know how that dude got so high doing that kung fu kick on your site mg33. i love it
- lifeinsodium0
schjetne, its understandable that you dont like radiohead. everyone has their own taste but i doubt if designers listen to radiohead because "they are supposed to"
i was a radiohead listener much before i was a designer. actually its quite debateable whether i am a designer or not but thats a topic for some other day.

hehe, me too... That's my roomate I live with in Chicago, but that pic was in like 1995 or 96 when we were in high school. I'm on the right with the white hair, defensive posture.

Anything band,site,art... reguardless that's gets such positive and negative opinions defines its success on our culture. You dont like them... cool... you do cool...
But dude saying OK computer was nothing special shows a tad bit of envy. What record "do" you consider special? I'll make a bet with you- thirty years from now people will still be buying OK Computer, just like they do "Dark Side Of The Moon" and "The Wall", and even Billy Joel's and Steve Miller's "Greatest Hits". Are they special albums? Hell most Pink Floyd songs or 2 notes! Depends on your opinion of such but they world seems to think so- and what is wrong with that? What is wrong with designers liking Radiohead. My brother is a truck driver and he likes them too. Who the hell cares! It has nothing to do with designers- you just happen to be posting on a Designer Interest Web Forum. Go to Yahoo and look for single mothers over 30 forum and search Radiohead... it comes up there too...
- lifeinsodium0
radiosilent has spoken!
and that carver dude makes little sense. wait, let me rephrase. he makes no sense.
- BonSeff0
ha ha mg33 - thats great
i never listened to radiohead untill 4am posted the last album on his site and tried it out.
are their other albums decent? i dont care for the electronic side, more of the strait 4 or 5 piece bring the rock like some of the stuff i heard...
- schjetne0
No sense at all.
