Oh yeah that was very tactful right there haha
If you don't like the conversation don't come in here talking then.
Simple as that as a matter of fact
Peter made you aware that those funky absctracts won't cut it anymore and that's pretty much a positive statement.
Feeling the pressure mate?
Probably not, since it's easy money right.Don't tell me you don't care else you wouldn't come in here and spit your rant.
No thank you sir

Jonhwoo: 'Easy Money'
Mate you dont know the half of it.
And I will keep coming back to this thread. It involves me as one of the artist that is being flamed for a simple freelance job.
Ive never understood why people have so much hate towards the Infinity series and that whole genre of design.

I just find them a strange thing to actually buy

As I said earlier, I will not participate in the discussion about whether or not Petters comment was crap, but johnwoo, this comment:
"If you don't like the conversation don't come in here talking then."
was utterly stupid.

johnwoo might make some good movies, he sucks in thread participation however..

Anyone got any links of people using these work commercially?

Although he is allowed an opinion after all.

everyone is allowed an opinion, but should allow others opinions as well etc..

this is my take on it, tact and respect is sooo two years ago... cmon get with the program will ya, if you remotely dont like something you see bitch about it its veryyy unwinding to release you from your daily presures, you actually find a chapter about it , in the "Designer rejects Guide to enlightenment" by professor W. Zion (check amazon).

I suppose if there is a living to be made out of it, it means there is a place for it. So good luck to you.

i have no reason really to back these guys up, but i will. the work done on infinity2 was a 'job' that's: jay-oh-bee. it's work that was requested of the 'artists', regardless of what other 'designers' think - it's art. and art finds it's way into design as design elements - so it's has much use in its pre-packaged form. and what significance is there in the fact that this art form has been around since the early ninties? does it matter? does art expire? it's the work of these critics that i'd really like to see!

why?
haven't you ever bought any stockphotography? generally the same rules apply.
I have grown up as a child surrounded by photographers, and i got to learn a LOT about copyrights and stuff, and yes:
size does matter.
honestly, i am quite amazed how little knowledge people have these days about copyrights, whilst many older folks (the pre-internet generation of designers, photographers and artists etc..) know much better..
