Actually I'd really like to see a response to this.
Shouldn't the role of a community site such as newstoday, surfstation, three.oh, or any of the others, be to provide support for the rest of the design community?
You're a public voice for the community, and this is how you choose to represent yourself?
People are banned from this site for far less ignorant comments as the one you posted on the broadcast.

While I'll admit I am not a big fan of selling work this way (I personally feel that much of the work on the Infinity series is worth more than $700 for one piece, let alone a CD, but the fact that others will be 'using' the psds seriously detracts from their value), I am also shocked that someone affiliated with NT would post something that biased and shallow.
Too bad, but hats off to all those that made the images, once again, they are some of the most beautiful pieces I've seen.

well, I think we are not here to just pat each other on the back all the time; we need honest, crystalclear, and mostly, constructive criticism, which we can evaluate and eventually (possibly) learn from.
Having that said,
the NTB-post of petter, which clearly voices his opinion, may be honest, but the way he voices it is not very constructive... I wouldn't even call it criticism, just a rant without much thought behind it.

Although i would have said it a bit more tackful, i feel the same as Petter does. This is hardly design but 100% eye candy doofus shit. Come on. Look at the names! Sounds like some one who writes for Dungeons and Dragons or Yani came up with them.Visually it has one use and that is for an Autechre album and guess what you herbs? Designers Republic did it so come up with something else. And then Attic bit and now you suckers are selling over priced 'clip art' backgroundz and call it a career? Shit that is some deadend business right there. HA suckers!

i think the point were trying to make is that comments like that arent really for the NTB - i mean sooo so so so many people have done it before - look at all the stuff CSA is selling now based off of freeware ding bats and clip art from the 50s? not to mention house industries have been ripping off of old photo-lettering inc typefaces forever...call it selling out if u want to - im just saying its an "abuse of power" to be attacking people in NTB
