Haha, I am back from the shop:
I bought a simple board which they said is cool for a beginner. 100 EUR (118 US$). It's a Titus board. Titus was a well-known skater guy from Germany, don't know if you ever heard of him.
I need to practice a little but I am stoked to become a skater again.

- Bike helmet is far better than nothing, but doesn't give you the same coverage around your head as a skating helmet. Especially in the back where you'd likely..nocomply

- They're just built differently. Padded differently. Personally, I wouldn't feel comfortable skating gnarly terrain in a bike helmet.nocomply
