Are there any ways to take the CC apps from using certain internet connected stuff. I dont want the Adobe Stock, CC libraries etc to load when using the apps, could that reduce any lag at all?

Feels like every app is bloated.

    "Adobe Achieves Record Revenue"

    https://www.mirrorlessrumors.com…

'Adobe achieved record quarterly revenue of $2.08 billion in its first quarter of fiscal year 2018, which represents 24 percent year-over-year revenue growth.'

    "Adobe Muse Product Announcement

As Adobe continues to re-focus on developing products and solutions that provide our customers with the most value, we are now announcing the end of new feature development for Adobe Muse CC.

On 26 March 2018 we will release the final feature improvement release of Adobe Muse"

Good to see our subscription money went into a software, marketing + all associated business costs, only for them to give up when they finally realise what they built was crap, bloated and nothing short of a glorified template editor.

Note to Adobe: reduce our subscriptions costs by not wasting money on nonsense new products that you then withdraw after a couple years. Just stick to making sure PS, AI, AE, IN, PR work on the latest os's and are lean and fast. Don't waste money on new nonsense novelty toys ain't nobody gonna use besides a few adobe fanboys, eg Character Animator, Dimension. And bring back Freehand you fascists!

I can't believe that After Effects still doesn't have a proper media import file manager/ window. Since it's existence AE's files/ media import has remained the same.

What I mean is and what is especially annoying: You try to import a video sequence that is made of .tiff's or .tga's or any other image format like 3D passes. And you then have to scroll through 100's and 100's of image files to pick the right sequence!

WTF. Why can't the sequences be grouped as one thumbnail and that allows you to scrub through it as well.

Like in FCP for example in screenshot below (although those are just video files and not image sequences but you get the idea...) or any other video editor or compositing tool.

    • Also what's up with that scroll wheel function, am I right? What year is it?nb
    • what? you select one file in your folder of image sequence, and it brings it all in. then you edit as required. just keep sequences organisedshapesalad
    • I know that but I don't want to have to scroll endlessly to get to each sequence. Why can't they group image sequences as thumbnails?M01XXX
    • Like each image sequence/ version as one thumbnail as in screenshot. And maybe with scrub playback preview function. Can't be that difficult.M01XXX

Open Source Photo editing software like Photoshop for Mac Linux and PC?

Apart from some annoyances here and there I don't understand all the hate for Adobe on here. Their stuff is cheaper than ever. $50-100 bucks per month, that's like a cup of coffee every morning per month. Or if you don't make money with it and just use it for fun/ personal use you can torrent it. And their tools got so much more powerful.

Yes there are some alternatives out there but nothing compares to it in complexity and options. And it's also industry standard.

    • No. It's. Not. Cheaper.
It IS, if you bought every release - but most people didn't do taht, preferring to skip a release or two.

one should be able to purchase by modules or packages/combis.
imagine they had 10 tools then sort of (no correct math):

    complete CC (10 tools)= 500€
    one tool, let's say PS= 75€
    two tools (AI + PS)= 135€
    audio visual combo (3 tools)= 190€
    etc...whatever.

you could have pre-packages or make your own thing.
    they would still make money.

I don't need half of the software.
    not even one third.
I don''t have to have it installed sure and it's nice to have Premier or After Effects for spontaneous stuff...besides it's there right?
