Fuck off with these sudden pop ups of shitty new features while I'm working (and you know I'm working because it's triggered by clicking layout elements) fuck you very much.

    • Yup. The one in Photoshop that I thought i'd fixed is driving me nuts. Advertising (AI at that) within paid-for Photoshop.
      The fucking nerve.

I agree with the above, currently paying £38.11 for full Adobe CC since 2015.

I subsidise the cost by using the 5 free web hosting slots on Business Catalyst with clients paying £10 a month.

Having Adobe CC actually makes me £140 a year. RESULT!

So now Adobe fonts can only be activated through that bloated Creative Corpse app? The one that wets the bed when you try and quit it and uses more CPU than After Effects just to sit there like a cunt.

    1. Search fonts on the website.
    2. Add fonts to the CC app.
    3. Leave website.
    4. Open the CC app (hang on, updating...)
    5. Find the tiny f for fonts (so clever).
    6. Activate fonts.
    7. Find another font? Back to #1.

    UX vs Get Fucked.

I have to reset my workspace in Illustrator and PS nearly every time I launch the program or wake the computer. It shifts everything around like it's been running on a much smaller monitor, and randomly hides the toolbar sometimes. InDesign doesn't seem to have this issue.

I wish they'd put in more effort in some AI tech to generate realistic shadows.

Let's say you have a cutout of a person and place it on a background. You could define the floor and light source/ direction/ type/ strength, etc and Photoshop would generate a realistic non-linear shadow that you could further tweak.

Nothing more annoying than creating realistic shadows with good contact shadows and nice falloff.

    Photoshop type in After Effects.

If you ever scale your Photoshop text in a psd that you later import into After Effects, you can end up with something like an 1 pt. text layer scaled up to 489%. I've seen way more extreme numbers that that. Why is Photoshop mysteriously changing your text scale and font size without telling you? This has been going on for at least 10 years. I've gotten into the habit of never scaling text in Photoshop because of this software version of irritable bowel syndrome.

    • This thread is 7 years old but I never noticed how therapeutic it is until this month.CyBrainX
    • Is your ppi set wrong in PS? PS works in inches lulznb
    • Ps and Ae should work in pixels tho'grafician
    • I have Photoshop units set to pixels. You can change it to picas, points, inches, mm, cm or percent. AE is pixels and type measurements are in points.CyBrainX
    • The appearance of the type from PS in AE looks right but the scale and font size are messed up and it can be a problem in some cases.CyBrainX
    • This is weird, photoshop used to not change your pt size when you performed a transform on a text layer (IE: 7pt type, scaled at 200% looks 14 but still is 7pt)zarkonite
    • but a few YEARS ago it changed that behaviour to changing the point size... so maybe just reset all your setting and see what happens?zarkonite
    • I change all the settings every time I get a PSD from someone else who doesn't know about this issue and scales the photoshop text several times before sharing.CyBrainX
    • outline type om PS. retype it in AE and match the outlined layer. then delete the psd layer?shapesalad
    • I could do that but it's quicker to change the scale to 100% and match the type size from Photoshop.CyBrainX
    • I usually convert PS type layers to a native AE type via the "Create" menu; If changes occur I just make them in AE going forward.evilpeacock

Every single time that you import an Illustrator "Smart Object" vector into Photoshop...the proportions need to be corrected at least twice. This has been going on for decades.

    • lol, you're right - i just dropped a 100mm square .ai file into a 150mm square PS document and it came in at 100.19%.
      Why?
      Nairn
    • That was for a 72dpi doc. at 300dpi I match your 100.08%. At 600dpi it's 100.03%. At 1200dpi it's 100.01%.
      So, it's a resolution issue.
      Nairn
    • Which, in a product that pretty much fundamentally works with resolution, that's really hard to understand or forgive.Nairn

You need to pay the secret 5$/month to have the stable version of their programs.

But first you have to be a member of Adobe Elite Pro Club™ .... only 12$/month.

You have to be invited by someone to get in the AEPClub™

I have one invite left. I can sell it to someone in here for 2,000$ ... worth around 3,500$ on eBay.

Trying to shoot tethered in Lightroom Classic because I'm scanning film with a DSLR.

Recently purchased a new subscription to Adobe (lost my job, so...). Suddenly Lightroom Classic will not connect to camera, it just hangs. Contacted customer support, they put me on hold for 20 minutes while they looked into it "we've been having an issue with tethering".

"I will look into this tomorrow can I get back to you"

"Ok, we can give you three months free while you wait for an update."

"Maybe you should try (regular) Lightroom that might work."

They can't even keep tethering working? And they want me to trust my images to their cloud?! Hahahaha as if, Adobe. I wasn't born yesterday.

    • If you're willing to try an alternative I'd try Capture One; It's a bit to learn and get used to, but overall is more powerful than Lightroom.evilpeacock

Why don't Pantone libraries stay updated? I'm finding a bunch of swatches just don't exist in the default PANTONE+ Solid Coated library but are valid numbers on the Pantone site and elsewhere.
