Earth Day is a load of BOLLOCKS.
It's simply a propaganda campaign to help bring exposure and support to the bullshit called 'climate change'
'climate change' = PROBLEM
bullshit like 'earth day' = venue for the public to have a REACTION
global carbon tax = SOLUTIONproblem > reaction > solution
-brought to you by the same guys who bring us all of the worlds wars, conflicts, skirmishesThe global carbon tax will generate a whole new global economy centered around 'carbon trading'
carbon trading, essentially taxes anything to do with outputting carbon.
including humans that exhale CO2.
corporations will be taxed for carbon output.
individuals will be taxed for carbon output (including breathing)okay, so what's wrong with this? this isn't so bad right?
it'll save 'mother-earth' right? The non-sense in all of this is that basic biology dictates the planet we live on thrives on carbon.
Carbon is what I and you (the reader) are made of.
if you're a dumbass, look it up: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Car…That's all.
- I got my own page.
*How fitting.styleplus - How about Recycling is that Bollocks?! Its part of Earth Day to!iheartfun
- You have no idea what you're talking about. Earth Day started in 1970 and had nothing to do with climate change.joeth
- http://en.wikipedia.…joeth
- Also, nobody is talking about taxing individuals for breathing.joeth
- taxing breathing is further down the slippery slope.Prototype_a

@ Bhuddahat
you call that education /concern?
I can sit a retard in front of CNN for a week.
I can ask that retard (at the end of the week): Hey, what do you know? And the retard will tell me everything he/she saw on CNN that week.
"education /concern" wow. it's no wonder people are so easily fooled.
- No, I call that listening to the radio while I'm driving between jobs... sorry to disappoint you with the intellect of others...BuddhaHat
- Yea but if it effects just one person help conserve for the environment then so be it!iheartfun
- PS. Where do you purchase retards for such a purpose? These 'retards' would assist me in completing a lot of experiments...BuddhaHat

@ Bhuddahat
I'm not dissappointed, but thanks.my point is that when people spew regurgitated propaganda from their mouths -in the form of questions to the president, that spewed content should undergo some scrutiny before being accurately described as 'education'.
btw: You can find plenty of retards in Northern California, San Francisco, to be precise.
- there always been propaganda, no matter what. you follow it too. even if you don't think you do.akrokdesign
- Speak for yourself, dude.styleplus
- ok, epson.akrokdesign

where did you get the term 'footprint' to use in context with the 'environment' ?did you create the association? (footprint | environment)
you proabably picked it up, somwhere. right?
- _me_0
all i say is just do what you fuckin can. yes its common sense, but yes its been turned into a marketing ploy - but so what? - when the client is the fuckin ground you walk on then i say lets the "greatest minds in the design/advertising/marketing" business do their worst, i mean best...
i mean - fuck just do your bit.

The Twitter phenomenom seems to have pervaded QBN entirely... but to answer Styleplus' question, if this is the information being fed to students by a variety of mediums, sourced from the university or not, is still an opinion... please feel free to dispute it as readily as you would the concepts of Evolution, Creationism or any other modern social concept.
- akrokdesign0
styleplus, i hate to tell you "i told you so" later. :-)
- _me_0
ok - i'm going to bed... turning all my plugs off too... i'll pick this up in the morning...
my opinion for what its worth:
earth hour is a brilliant idea and it will become more and more relevant and just become "one of those things we do" the more we do it - the better it makes it, take all propogande, tax carbon offset crap out of it. it is just a "good" thing to do. either do it or don't.
your kids will "tell you so" in 30yrs time.

Earth: *kicks styleplus off the planet*
- _me_0
styleplus:
form a decent argument and then get back to me... seriously i'd love a decent conversation about this..... your thoughts on the actual issues are as relevant as mine - saying "you're a dumbass" really truly honestly doesn't help you right now....
g'nite.
- see my remarks below, then do some research. I don't have anything to prove to you. You're free to believe what you will.styleplus

I'd be totally into this a lot more if the whole world did it every friday.
- pango0

@ _me_
each individual can only do so much.If change is really to be affected, the change must come from INDUSTRY.
why are there so many asphalt (petroleum by-product) roads and (petroleum-guzzling) automobiles in North America?
and not so many super-fast trains? like in Asia? and Europe?because North America has the facility (heavily armed goons) to reap (rape) the resources of the planet.
Sadly, the Iraqis being slaughtered right now can not do much about the environment ...neither can the Africans, nor the Chinese slaves.
The real keys to change rest in a strata above that of the common man.
in summary:
if you really want to see a change in the environment
-and you're not just a whiney bitch who cannot think;...then tell Exxon /Esso, Dutch Royal Shell Corporation, Boeing, British Petroleum, Boeing, General Motors, Ford Motor Cars, Bechtel Corporation, the United Nations, et-fucking cetera.
...tell them. because a lot of people would gladly get into a train, rather than an aircraft -just to hop from NY to Philly.
... alot of people.
