@lowimpakt
I don't have a 'theory' to proveyou can take my statements in this thread, dissect them, and do a tad bit of research on the web.
Via this method, you will quickly find out if my statements have substance.
no doubt, Several people have already done this.
but they are not posting here asking for further proof. If you don't want to do this, please don't.
you're always free to go back to sleep.

The Twitter phenomenom seems to have pervaded QBN entirely... but to answer Styleplus' question, if this is the information being fed to students by a variety of mediums, sourced from the university or not, is still an opinion... please feel free to dispute it as readily as you would the concepts of Evolution, Creationism or any other modern social concept.

So stylepus,
Your whole argument seems to be devaluing the power of the individual. As voters, consumers, parts of communities and organizations, etc, do you think we have any power against this kind of injustice?
I'm not sure if you're suggesting that we should do more about it, or that it's a lost cause and we should just sit and watch it happen.
- btw, if you're so passionate about what you say, you should be able to come up with a link or two for evidence.joeth

Sorry for the late reply. Anyway...
@ styleplus
I think you are half right. We absolutely do need more transparency in business and government. We all know that. You have to do quite a bit of digging to find the truth, and most people don't have the time or desire to do that. Your problem is that your arrogance and cynicism have led you to believe that all people fall in either the 'evil-doing conspiracy' category or the 'brainless victim' category. You leave out the fact that most people generally try to be good, and that most people involved in green/sustainable organizations ARE fighting for the right kinds of change. One such person is Alex Steffen of Worldchanging.com.
Here are some links, which are partially in line with what you are saying...

what are we suppose to do on earth day?
- _me_0
since earth hour/day whatever - i make sure every designer shuts their computer down at night unless they're render-farming... it took a week or so to enforce but they now all do it without asking...
*does his bit
- akrokdesign0
styleplus, i hate to tell you "i told you so" later. :-)
- akrokdesign0
actually, we should be past "global warming" issue, as we already know its there, years ago.
what's imported is the solutions.
- _me_0
ok - i'm going to bed... turning all my plugs off too... i'll pick this up in the morning...
my opinion for what its worth:
earth hour is a brilliant idea and it will become more and more relevant and just become "one of those things we do" the more we do it - the better it makes it, take all propogande, tax carbon offset crap out of it. it is just a "good" thing to do. either do it or don't.
your kids will "tell you so" in 30yrs time.

styleplus:
form a decent argument and then get back to me... seriously i'd love a decent conversation about this..... your thoughts on the actual issues are as relevant as mine - saying "you're a dumbass" really truly honestly doesn't help you right now....
g'nite.
- see my remarks below, then do some research. I don't have anything to prove to you. You're free to believe what you will.styleplus

I just got out of the gym and came home to a dark ass house. I came around the corner into the living room and my roomates where all sitting in the dark. I got the picture and went and grabbed some food that someone made. When I sat down my roomates asked me "What happen to hotwings!? I thought you were going to make hot wings?"
To which I replied "Bitch how I'ma do that shit in the fucking dark?!"
To which they replied ".......touche"

@ joeth
to answer your question:yes, but please see my preceding remarks in this thread to supplement that 'yes'
to clarify my suggestion:
we should take APPROPRIATE action, and then MORE of that.
again, my remarks preceding these are relevant to your inquiry.
I suggest you revisit them.I've been quite eloquent in this thread, so I find it humorous that I get these recurring redundant questions.

I'd be totally into this a lot more if the whole world did it every friday.
- lowimpakt0
so what's your point again styleplus?
i got the bit about you worrying about carbon taxes because you are made of carbon and got lost from there..
