Whats the worst that could happen if you no longer have dogs that can prevent explosives and drugs going onto planes.... incredible how increasingly petty Elon can be.

I’ve been travelling around the US the past few months attending soccer id camps for my son, this past weekend took us to Vermont, Burlington to be exact and man-o-man was it glorious.
There are two types of people who live there, hipsters and homeless and it’s impossible to tell the two apart lol.
There were blm signs all over the place yet no black people actually live in Vermont, in the window of the flagship Ben and Jerry’s there was a massive sign that said dismantle white supremacy - in the whitest state in the US. Just marvellous.
Tons of they/thems, tons of trans folk, long boards, analog film cameras, purple and green hair, moustaches everywhere... this is anti-trump country, Elon's worst nightmare lol.
It’s like a living episode of Portlandia, would go back in a heartbeat if our Canadian dollar wasn’t so shit lol
- Bernie Sanders was the mayor of Burlington before being elected to the Senate.yuekit

Elon Musk has installed Starlink directly at the Whitehouse. A Musk lieutenant ventured onto a roof to install Starlink. The Secret Service didn’t know he was there. The incident triggered a confrontation over conflicts of interest & cyber and physical security.
https://www.nytimes.com/2025/03/…
“It’s super rare” to install Starlink or another internet provider as a replacement for existing government infrastructure that has been vetted and secured, said Jake Williams, a vice president for research and development at Hunter Strategy, a cybersecurity consultancy. “I can’t think of a time that I have heard of that.”
“It introduces another attack point,” Mr. Williams said. “But why introduce that risk?”
Waldo Jaquith:
I'm the guy who used to oversee the federal government's agency IT telecommunications contracts. This is extremely bad. There is absolutely no need for this. Not only is it a huge security exposure, but the simplest explanation for this is that it is meant to be a security exposure.

I’m the Canadian who was detained by Ice for two weeks. It felt like I had been kidnapped
I was stuck in a freezing cell without explanation despite eventually having lawyers and media attention. Yet, compared with others, I was luckyI was taken to a tiny, freezing cement cell with bright fluorescent lights and a toilet. There were five other women lying on their mats with the aluminum sheets wrapped over them, looking like dead bodies. The guard locked the door behind me.

- We live in a society.palimpsest
- The more they detain, the more money they earn. Immigration and prisons shoudn't be private companies that will in the end focus on earnings.Nutter
- This is a very important story. Americans should be ashamed.********
- The USA captures and imprisons foreign citizen without explanation and without recourse. Canada should go to war over this, if they weren’t such pussies.********

"French researcher denied entry to US for 'expressing personal opinion' on Trump policies"
"France's research minister expressed 'concern' on Wednesday at this decision by the US authorities. The researcher underwent a random check on arrival, before his computer and phone were searched, a source said."
https://www.lemonde.fr/en/intern…
"This measure was apparently taken by the American authorities because the researcher's phone contained exchanges with colleagues and friends in which he expressed a personal opinion on the Trump administration's research policy,"

- Why search somebody phone at the border?grafician
- Is this free speech that you're talking about in the room with us?grafician
- There are many reasons to search someone's phone at an international border, obviously.monospaced
- The article YOU POSTED says it was a random check. Not sure about his rights being infringed as he isn't a US citizen and isn't given the same rights as one.monospaced
- You would make a great DHS officer :)))
But no, from what I know only the US does this bullshit. Nobody will "random check" or search your phone in Europegrafician - ...Turkey, Northern Africa. I only have experience with these regions. But pretty sure not even China does that :)grafician
- But it's fine, a lot of people will stay away from the US know as you wantedgrafician
- *nowgrafician
- Yes of course other nations do this stuff.monospaced
- And doing it violates no rights of US citizens does it? Maybe you don’t understand what rights are in this context, no surprised being a second language reader.monospaced

"A tourist held in the US for 19 days was removed in chains like Hannibal Lecter, according to her parents.
Becky Burke, 28, arrived home in Wales on Tuesday from her ordeal which began half way through a backpacking trip across North America.
Parents Paul and Andrea Burke, of Portskewett, Monmouthshire, said their daughter was "traumatised" after being taken in "leg chains, waist chains and handcuffs"."
- America becoming a tourist trap! For real! :))grafician
- So, she tried to visit Canada, and they denied her entry because they were concerned she was trying to work illegally.monospaced
- So, Canada sent her back, and alerted US authorities why they denied her entry and their concerns. So she was deported.monospaced
- Damn, Canada. That's cold.monospaced
- You can deny entry, but what's with the 19 days detention and chains?
You clearly don't see the issues, maybe you should not comment your "excuses" anymoregrafician - Oh please. You live in a partial authoritarian regime ... should I use your logic and say you have to right to talk? Fucking chihuahua puppy.monospaced
- I’m not making excuses either. Clearly English is not your first language and reading comprehension is a serious struggle for you. There are classes for that.monospaced
- Again explain the detention? Chains?grafician
- And stop repeating all the bullshit people repeat about me :))grafician
- Oh no, maybe because Trump announced withdrawal from UN human rights body?
Enjoy your dictatorship mono :))grafician - You’re delusional. This doesn’t affect me. She was violating her visa, and was detained. That isn’t a dictatorship you fucking clownmonospaced
