"Ethereum Faces Chain Split as Node Operators Fail to Update Geth Hotfix
Geth is the most relied upon software to connect to the Ethereum blockchain."
"Ethereum is experiencing a chain split due a number of network validators, also called nodes, failing to upgrade their software.
On Aug. 24, the developer team behind the popular Ethereum software client Geth released an emergency hotfix to a security vulnerability in its code that would have prevented certain users from producing blocks.
The Go Ethereum team had disclosed a vulnerability on Aug. 18, saying they would release a patch, but did not specify the exact nature of the vulnerability in an effort to prevent an attack:"

OnlyFans’ porn ban is crypto’s opportunity of a lifetime
Today, OnlyFans dropped the massive bombshell that it will be banning “sexually explicit content” from the app later this year. This is obviously a wildly seismic shift for OnlyFans, which completely disrupted the adult content industry and gave performers a path toward greater independence by allowing them to connect directly with their fans via subscriptions.

- Look, I don't want to get into the specific science of it but have a polish and making some jazz juice actually captures carbon. Jerk off to save the Earth.shapesalad
- What does it have to do with crypto? They are banning porn to accommodate their investors. Nothing to do with cash or crypto.formed
- It's like crypto promoters are desperately trying to keep it relevant, but there's yet to be a true, practical application, just hype.formed

the Senate has mild contempt for Bitcoin
The recent US Senate infrastructure bill has a provision to require digital asset brokers to file the same sort of tax information with the IRS that dealers in other electronic assets have had to file for some time now — and that Coinbase, for example, already files on behalf of its customers.

"hamburgerwah 8 hours ago [–]
I haven't seen any evidence there was in fact a hack at all. A digital contract was used in a way that complied with the contract that the bonehead writers of that contract did not intend. That's it. If bad contract writers get to cry "hack" and beg for their money back there is no point to digital contracts at all.
If someone had physically or electronically broken into systems and illicitly copied private keys that would be a different story. Here someone executed permissible actions on chain that people didn't like, wah wah.You have to be an absolute tool to use the poly network for anything serious ever again."
