GREAT episode!
- Yeah, the references to previous SW films and characters was great. Anakin's podracer engine and R5 still having the oil spurt from A New Hope!face_melter
- yup, the easter eggs were impressive throughout. It was a great start to the season. Just hope they develop the overall plot quicker and make it less aboutfadein11
- weekly self contained stories. Although I'm not that fussed to be honest, it's a fun weekly bit of escapism.fadein11

So Kuiil played by Nick Nolte was shot and killed while riding a blurrg at full clip by a stormtrooper riding a 74-z speeder bike that are known to not be able to shoot a tin can just feet away. Jason Sudeikis as the stormtrooper was the worst part of season 1. Worst improv.

I for one, am pretty excited about it. I remember Boba always being one bad mother f'er as a kid. Excited to see more of the back story on him. The tone and mood looks excellent. As someone mentioned earlier, it has the "Rogue" thing going on. I believe if they stay true to a high production level, should be gem with that cast.

^ I just commented:
"I don't understand the fascination with Star Wars, it's all made up and scientific facts would dispute all of it. Much like religion..."
Thinking more around that point, perhaps now I can see why people are so fanatical around religions and so defensive if you insult their religion - Religions are like Star Wars. Lord help you if you say to a Star Wards fan you don't like Star Wards, can't be bothered to watch it, were never into it as a kid... blasphemy.
- oh FFS apple's stupid auto correct spelling nonsense. fuck that shite. always messing my typing up! Ward! Wars you moron apple.shapesalad

- It's just not science fiction, it's fantasy in space.zarkonite
- Look at game of thrones, total ass shit overcomplicated story but people love it because it's a mess. Since nothing makes sense you can pretty much arguezarkonite

- I had some questions but thought Game of Thrones was pretty coherent.CyBrainX
- People don't love Star Wars because they think all of it can happen. It's as much fantasy as Sci Fi anyway.CyBrainX

When I was watching that laser gate scene, my first thought was this scene from Blazing Saddles. Same energy:

Wow, I think that episode might be a bit of a Marmite one. I’ve just watched it and I’m not sure how I feel about it. I’ll say no more right now.
And anyone about to watch it, make sure you get through the final credits.
