How shitty must those helmets and body armors of the storm troopers be if that chick can knock them out with her bare hands?
You‘d think the empire had a better army than all these morons called storm troopers.
- They always miss their targets.
- Act like fucking idiots and get knocked out by bare hands despite wearing protective gear.
- Can‘t ever do the right thing it seems.
- Love how one can always sneak upon them and they always go "whatha?!"grafician
- you do know it's not a documentary yeah?fadein11
- I didn‘t know, fade. LolNBQ00
- I asked a bunch of fanboys about stormtrooper armor and they say it sucks ‘cause it’s NOT armor? It’s just environmental control and other electronicsscarabin
- Mando was getting leathered off the pirates without his fancy armour.PhanLo
- Even if it's plastic you can't tell me a bunch of fist punches and their heads bumping together would knock them out.NBQ00
- Plastic is still strong enough to absorb punches. And their helmets probably got some cushioning as well.NBQ00

The whole first episode I couldn't help think about how goofy the whole thing felt. There's a distinct low budget quality to it that it's hard to put my finger on. The cinematography, dialogue and especially the practical effects came together to make something that was almost like a 90s sitcom version of Star Wars. It's like they went out of their way to make sure that the puppet lips never synced to dialogue and a lot of characters just felt like people in makeup.
It was like a spaghetti western of sci-fi, which maybe was what Star Wars is all about, and once I realised this I was able to relax and start to enjoy. You're supposed to laugh!
Then the final scenes began, and I couldn't help rolling my eyes at the goofy ass droid. But it moments later, during the big shootout, the child-like nerd in me got super excited. The goofiness transformed into serious sci-fi, and then the big reveal gave me a triple-replay nerdgasm.
They paced that goofiness to serious reveal nicely. Then the second episode balanced out. Can't wait to see how it shapes up.
- The right amount of cheese.DRIFTMONKEY
- I concur, it hit the right notes, people just forgot what those notes were after recent efforts.fadein11
- I still think they should invest in a bit of top-class CG for the humanoids and creatures. Muppet style movements don't fly anymore. Looks cheap and fake.monospaced
- The creatures he rode on the sand planet weren't great but even Last Jedi suffered from that shit, worse even. Ep 3 was fun also.fadein11
- exactly thisinteliboy
- Why would you downvote the first assessment of the show? If you have an issue say so don’t be a bitch.monospaced

Does the Mandalorian ever have sex or is he asexual lone wolf only interested in the space stuff?
- grafician1
- What we he learn from my artwork?misterhow
- this is from the Star Wars wiki, the new face of Thrawn https://starwars.fan…grafician
- so won't be played by Clive Owen, but this actor is also known, just can't put my finger on it where I've seen him beforegrafician
- Looks like Peter Cushing hate-fucked Ewan McGregor, and this is the outcome.Continuity

Yup. Katee Sackhoff is still hot.
- Awesome episode!inv
- Agreed, but man ... that ship of his. Makes the Falcon look like a refitted Enterprise fresh out of spacedock.Continuity
- The ship (along with his armor) was shiny in the first episodes. Cool to see that it is turning into the ‘worn future’ look that SW is famous for.inv
- yep, it's getting a right beating now.fadein11
- I'm still in awe of just how damned fun this show is, and I'm not really a SW fan.Continuity

- just before the First Orderfadein11
- Shouldn't more people have known Yoda?misterhow
- he was in exile on Dagobah after the Clone Wars.fadein11

Is that the first time graffiti has been shown in the Star War Universe? Funny cameo from Dave Choe at the fights, sould see his style all over the walls.
- wasn't that C3PO in the graffiti there?grafician
- Theres a character in Rebels, Sabine Wren who graffs. She's Mandalorian too and may make an appearance in Mandalorian.thumb_screws
- ^Cheers!PhanLo
- Rebels and Clone wars are definitely worth checking out for Mandalore backstory. Heap of clone wars eps set on Manadalore. And the final clone wars eps are...thumb_screws
- ...good for understanding why the Mandalorians are scattered.thumb_screws
- I'll need to give em a watch in winter lockdown. Catch up on the story. :-)PhanLo
- clone wars can be a slog, first few seasons are really targeted and kids.
https://bit.ly/323kL…thumb_screws - yep clone wars and rebels are actually really entertaining series and give loads of back story.fadein11
