"On Thursday, December 13 Sir Ivan Rogers delivered a hard-hitting speech to the University of Liverpool's Heseltine Institute for Public Policy, Practice and Place.
Sir Ivan Rogers was the UK Permanent Representative to the EU from 2013 -17.
When he resigned in 2017 he wrote to his colleagues, telling them:
"I hope you will continue to challenge ill-founded arguments and muddled thinking and that you will never be afraid to speak the truth to those in power. I hope that you will support each other in those difficult moments where you have to deliver messages that are disagreeable to those who need to hear them."
He had a robust analysis of the current Brexit debate most recent speech. "

"Around 1 million British citizens living in the European Union stand to lose their right to remain living and working in the EU if the UK crashes out of Brexit negotiations without a deal, the European commission has warned."

Seaborne Freight that company with no ships given a £13.8 million contract to run a brexshit ferry service apparently underwent due diligence by the government.
what they didn't note was....
Their T&Cs were copied and pasted from a fast food delivery company (maybe Deliveroo)
their website displayed internal admin details
and the "portal login" form was just an image of a form that you can't even click on.

2016 - was the the vague vote and a load of speculation.
2017 - it was that thing not happening until 2019.
2018 - gradual ramp up of news until the fortnight before xmas when it went into a royal circus.
2019 - yeah... I'm done with it.Can we just pretend the whole Brexit thing never happened and carry on regardless. Politicians just not mention it and look puzzled when questioned about it. UK MEP's in Europe just look bamboozled when the press mention the 'Brexit' thing. Someone quietly revoke article 50. Newspapers, social media, google, everyone just remove all past posts and articles about it.
Brexit, it's done, it's over, there's no more thinking or talking you can do about it. Let's just collectively forget it ever happened.
