Here are some screenshots regarding my earlier post.
1. This is while swiping down, just before the keyboard appears:
2. This is when swiping is complete and the keyboard comes up. Sometimes the underlayer un-pixelates, but often it stays pixelated like this:
3. This is what happens while searching. In this case, the icons un-pixelated. But the text for the search results (recommendations) are difficult to read:
4. This is what happens when you leave Search and then return back to it. The icons are always pixelated.
This is truly pathetic. The largest company in the world can't even test their own stuff and make sure it works before releasing it. It's not even a hidden part of the UI. It's the Search function FFS.
I keep saying this, month after month, year after year since Steve died. There's nobody at Apple to crack the whip anymore. Nobody cares. They're just riding the wave that Steve built, but it will come crashing down. Attention to detail is what set Apple apart. But they've been losing that very quickly since he died.
Seems like any hack can get a job at Apple these days.
- On an iPhone 5 this search UI animation is a tad slower than anything else I've seen, but it doesn't get stuck on a low quality pixelated texture map like yoursevilpeacock
- The UI for this function is probably not as optimized but also has to have more overhead loading those icons. Everything else is really running smooth for me.evilpeacock
- looks fine to me, whats the problem?utopian
- them PEDO apps will slow your phone down!utopian
- this belongs in the Apple Fail thread™ http://www.qbn.com/t…docpoz
- evilpeacock, how does the white text look when it's on top of the icons? Is it readable? (3rd jpg I posted)iCanHazQBN
- I have a 5C. I still find this inexcusable. 5C is not a prehistoric phone. If it requires so much rendering power just to use the Search function...iCanHazQBN
- ...then it's a failure.iCanHazQBN
- ain't nobody got time fo datprophetone
- obviously a bug you got there. Go the nearest Apple Store and go batshit crazy at the first Genius you'll fall on.Ben99
- Yeah. Not happening on the 5S over here.monospaced
- Looks fine on my 6..slappy

- I have a 5c as well. animation is pretty clean for me. do you have battery save mode on?fourth
- also, your phone could've been still indexing which makes it a lot slowerfourth
- LOOKS PERFECT ON MY NEWTON.utopian
- It's working fine all of a sudden!! Yeah, maybe it was indexing...? Don't know.iCanHazQBN
- On my 5 the white text is completely legible because the background is supposed to be blurred (and it is for me).evilpeacock
- Too close to microwave? Those Pizza Pockets can wait bro!Ben99
- what kinda old ass phone do you have bro? 3GS? j/k. just reset that shiz and u should be good to gosherm
- Your case is definitely a one-off. Very strange your install was that buggy.desmo
- Cygnus experiences a disproportionate amount of Apple one-off issues, based solely on his posts here.monospaced
- jesus - that font lol. and what a fucking ugly interface in general.fadein11
- all these screenshots look shitimbecile
- utopian1
- I like the font better than Helvetica Thin.utopian
- Has a little DIN in itmonospaced
- That's the version on Apple Watch. iOS 9 and OS X have a variation that's less square.Nathan_Adams
- Yes it does have a lil DIN it!utopian
- That I can get on board with. Much better than Helvetica.monospaced

I quite like the new font.
Im on an iPhone 5 and had no issues installing and its working great so far.
- nb-1
Every now and then it crashes for me and I get a message that says "Sorry, a system error occurred" and there's a little bomb icon.
- omg-1
After I installed the new iOS. My phone started displaying many languages. The only one word I could understand was the word "Hello."
- prophetone0
so i'm looking at changing the wallpaper on my iPod, in there, it has taken the photos i took using my front camera and thrown them into a folder called 'Selfies'...
talk about u/x assumptions, yes most pics from the cam will prob be faces, but just assuming it's 100% accurate and forcing it into a omg-totes-barf-inducing category on my behalf, really?

Go to your main (Home) screen on your phone and swipe down (to access Search). Does the interface become all pixelated for you? Looks like a total mess.
And the text for the Search results has no underlayer, so the text just sits directly on top of your app icons. Can't read the text!
- yes, it has a momentary seizureprophetone

- I see none of this over here, weirdBen99

it's fine. but iTunes interface is still a cluster. the scrub timeline line overlays the digits on left/right. i see this and think, did they even try it out after they messed with u/i?
- iCanHazQBN0
I just downloaded it, and I really like the new font. Feels more substantial than super thin Helvetica.

Hahah The Verge whining. So predictable.
- Patel is a fucking giant baby, acting like he's some kind of internet warrior out to save us all, when he's just a lippy cunt with a hilarious bracelet.face_melter
- And if adblockers means the destruction of sites like The Verge, then hey-ho, let's fucking go.face_melter
- Isn't the Verge one of those sites that downloads about 10MB worth of ads and tracking?qoob
- http://blog.lmorchar…qoob
- exactlyernexbcn
- wow ^^Ben99
- He might be all those things, but I didn't think he was whining as much as pointing out that the real war is over ad revenue, and this is a huge disruptionmonospaced
- oh... I see now... yeah, he's pretty much bitching and whiningmonospaced
- The death of ads means the prevalence of micro payments. Literally being nickeled and dimed to death.ETM
- ^ it seems nice - no ads - but the reality won't be so pretty. There will be ways around this soon (already some).formed

"Just bought and tried (in this order): Crystal, Purify and Peace. Each has features to like. Crystal has a great price and is the only one to let you report an ad not blocked or broken page so that the ad block list can be updated. Purify lets you block scripts and images on top of font-blocking options also in Peace. Crystal missed an ad that Purify (and Peace) caught, but Peace was the only one that seriously removed all the cruft causing slowdowns, even Google+ news site pop ups and like button pinned banners from The Verge in addition to blocking ads. So my recommendations are Crystal for price, Peace for well, exactly what it says on the tin, and Purify if you'd like to block images and scripts also. Check screenshots of each for the latest on their preference panels."

Anybody tried the ad blockers for Safari? I'm hearing good things.
