Dear Apple, thanks for finally admitting your IOS shit is jammed up with bloatware!
Apple has fixed a new feature for iOS 9 that could stop your 16GB iPhone running out of space all the time.
- you n apple are like a bad married couple.inteliboy
- I just expect more for the world's
most innovative & wealthiest
company...that is all.utopian - Are you kidding? This is about people filling up a 16gb phone with shitloads of photos and videos. It isn't even about apple bloat ware.monospaced
- In fact it is about Apple clearing up more space. I dunno, this is all so stupid because this isn't even really a problem or admission of anything.monospaced
- it is a problem. even if you think it's not.doesnotexist

- As if a Account Supervisor (aka) Jr. UX Developer designed it.utopian
- You can change this back to all caps in the Settings.iCanHazQBN
- that "i"utopian
- I was just using my ipad last night and thinking how utterly retarded it is that the case stays uppercase even when lowercase is selectedset
- Whats wrong with this? Vastly better.set
- They don't like the typeface.monospaced
- Do you like the way that the new typeface was clumsily thrown into the buttons?utopian
- Well to keep all the type baseline aligned and the figures with ascenders and descenders centered vertically this is how it ends up.monospaced
- It's either this or the descenders touch the bottom. Can't have it all.monospaced

iPhone (5c) and iPad Air are starting to hiccup with iOS 9. Planned obsolescence by Apple. Both were buttery smooth with iOS 8.
- This is what I hate about these evil companies. They can put whatever new software in your device and make it run like crap on purpose.iCanHazQBN

both my iPad and my iPhone have slow wi-fi connection at home since i updated to iOS9
fuck that shit

So to sign out of Game Centre, only an idiot like me would go to Game Centre settings, and sign out. You also have to sign out of iCloud and iTunes.
To paraphrase those other greedy cunts in banking, we are experiencing negative progress.

I am on the fence...iPhone 6s or Galaxy Note5
- what about the new Nexus?inteliboy
- I'll be in the same boat soon. Was impressed with the Note and the Nexus looks compelling tooformed
- • No image stabilizer
• Only a 12mp camerautopian - Sony's new one is supposed to have an amazing camera. MS's latest is rumored to support the Surface Pen techformed
- i find it weird that there's this world of interesting android phones out there... yet people buy samsung.inteliboy
- though i guess spec wise they have the muscle to beat out competition perhapsinteliboy
- Sony or LG yoset
- I've had 2 Notes - both great. Haven't used 5 but I imagine it is great. Depends what you want though really. V.different devices.fadein11
- @inteliboy - Samsung generally have best specs and for phablets are easily the best.fadein11

How many apps can iOS9 run at once?
- For me, one.
Including iOS9.MrT - As many as you need really.monospaced
- For me, one.

the internet is full of people going on and on about how great android is, and how apple iOS is so far behind...
though if these were Apples best new features the haters would be out with pitchforks.

Also, they've reversed the Lap and Start buttons on the stopwatch. Why? It had been established in previous versions, why change it?
- mg330
The video buttons are awful. Tiny play button jammed so close to the other buttons at top right.

On sunday the wife and I had driven into the city centre, went round some shops for a few hours then headed back to the car.
When we got to the car I got a notification telling me that the roads were clear all the way home and it would take us 12 minutes. So the phone knew we had been in a car, parked it then were walking after that. Then when we returned back to the same spot it knew we were back at the car.
Kinda scary stuff!

Been using an ipad for the last month after being solely android for a few years. I cannot stress how bad iOS is compared to android now, it's a real shame as all the best apps (certainly for music production) are still on iOS... But man it's so half arsed.
The design in comparison looks cheap, the UX is unconsidered. UI elements are small and unresponsive... Things like the (x) in the address bar in safari to clear the text is so unresponsive I have to press it four or five times for it to work.
The volume popup covers almost all of the video you're watching. The video progress bar is at the top rather than the bottom so your hand covers the video while you're skipping through it. You can't swipe away notifications like you can on Android you have to swipe and THEN hit the tiny X that needs hitting three or four times until it works.
I urge anyone who hasn't to try the latest build of stock android, it's glorious in comparison. I was an iOS fanboy once upon a time, too.
- I mean it's pretty serious first world problem shit I know, just a shame I'm forced to use a vastly inferior OS because of the better app selection.set
- i dunno man, i was recently stuck with a htc and hated the thing. mind you I don't think that is stock android.inteliboy
- It isn'tset
- To each his own, but thats how I feel about android.ArmandoEstrada
- I bet you haven't used the latest stock build. Probably some shitty version and base an opinion on that...set

It's been working flawlessly for me, but I think they should hop off the yearly deadline. Just release it when it's ready.

Very cool.nb - he's afraid of exposure, this is the same guy that removed the most popular ad blocker for iOS 9 last weekernexbcn

I wish they went back to OS releases every couple years or so instead of every year. Only release security fixes or driver enhancements in between.
OS X has also suffered from this 1 year cycle.
- It's been every year since the beginning. Not sure what you're even talking about. 9 versions in under 9 years.monospaced
- check the dates between releases, I think between Leopard and Snow Leopard almost 2 years or soernexbcn
- I'm talking about iOS which is the thread topic.monospaced
- I was talking about OS Xernexbcn
- Your first paragraph was about iOS. Your last sentence said OS X "also"monospaced
- And if you were talking about OS X the whole time, then you're in the wrong thread altogether ;)monospaced
- hey no big deal let's discuss bothernexbcn

crash crash... freeze-up... stall... crash... siri won't respond correctly on the 6... blah blah... this is by far the worst pre-tested OS release I (and my wife) have encountered :/
- Not a single instance of any of that here amongst anyone I know.monospaced
- check the forums, mono... and the update (9.0.1 or whatever) fixed my wife's timer / alarm / siri issue (was actually a listed issue)PonyBoy
- No need. Congrats.monospaced

assuming not to bother on a 4s. anyone here done that?
- Curious as well (wife has a 4S still). 9 is definitely faster on an iPad 2 then 8 was.evilpeacock
- i use the 4.. never seen the need to upgrade..epill
- prophetone-2
haven't seen that but thumb scrolling through a playlist in iTunes is crashing my iPod more than kid with braces taking his first driving test in a funhouse.

Anyone having issues playing Slo-Mo vids on iOS9? Some of my older ones are taking forever to load and play. Terrible.
- fourth0
I like the new typeface.
Not sure if it's related but I pay .99 a month for 20gb iCloud storage and Apple just upped it to 50gb for no extra charge. Pretty cool in my book.
