God damn that last episode was good!
- I have no doubt the last 6 episodes and the series finale will also be top notch.
The writing is so good.Ramanisky2 - Hells yeah. That was some quality television.dopepope

- Fantastic ending, although I still don't know how Saul found Jesse. Anyway, the door is wide open for El Camino 2.b_a_b_y_d_i_c_k

i never watched BB so I don't have any baggage or expectations to bring into this show. So far I'm impressed. Well written, complex characters, great acting.

The Mike/Tuco storyline is the only thing that's really keeping me coming back. The Kim, Jimmy stuff is pretty inconsequential.
Full disclosure - I've never seen an episode of Breaking Bad.
- +1 yeadrgs
- No way I'd be watching if it wasn't for watching Breaking Bad first.section_014

Pango sez: "...That's when he completely losses his moral."
That's the thing tho - i think this second episode highlighted some stuff that was made really clear in breaking bad: he actually tries to stick to legalities as much as he can.. i dont think he ever really abandons his morals.. when he does shit he knows is wrong he always expresses pretty clear remorse or at least 'discomfort'... I think if anything he dances in moral grey area, but he always makes sure there's one foot in 'the right'...
that's my impression from BB and from these first 2 AWESOME episodes.
Huge BB fan & fucking loving this show so far. I was worried it would be a campy variation of "The Office" type thing or something, but this far exceeds my expectations. It's like a perfect continuation of breaking bad.

I loved this show, even more so than BB. Its sad that its over, but the ending was perfect.
My only complaint is the transition from Saul era Jimmy to BB era Jimmy was a little abrupt. I wish there as an episode about him transitioning from prankster to orchestrator of murder, etc.
Regardless, my favorite group of folks making content of the momment.

this series is a really fascinating exercise in the slow-burn.
i'm really curious as to how they tie it off - there's one more season after this, but this season finale should align time-wise with the breaking bad pilot (in the last episode, low-rank dealers got promoted in order to take the fall - this is inevitably what creates the sting where walt sees jesse in the pilot).
so maybe the last season will be a fast-forward, to saul after the breaking bad universe? or perhaps it's his time within the BB series but outside of the walter white drama (as obviously he had other things going on) and the BCS finale coincides with the BB finale time-wise.
either way this is a really marvelous show that doesn't get enough attention.
- kim has got to die. i've been thinking it the whole time.sarahfailin
- see that's what gets me- saul never shows any sense of having a dead wife in BB. i wonder if she lives into that timeline / past it.colin_s
- and she is so important to his life, i don't know - the timelines are so close at this point, i'm not sure how they write her off and have his BB stint workcolin_s
- Maybe the cartel puts such a threat on her life, Saul has her just disappear into some sort of protected custody. With his tricky/con ways. But yeah not sure.Ramanisky2

What I love most about this show right now is that I still can't draw a line to when, why, or how he becomes Saul. My guess is eventually he does something irreparable to his career as Jimmy, undergoes an identity change, becomes Saul, and starts an office in another city.
- will the series end when this happens? i hope mike does not die of age for a couple more seasonsdrgs
- i think if he dies, they fast forward to a post breaking bad timeline_niko
- yeah I think this is still a year or 2 before he meets Walter WhiteRamanisky2
- Mike can't die in Better Call Saul. This is several years before Breaking Bad.mg33

Watched the latest episode last night, just didn't understand the motivation for Mike to do that little job, wasn't him being watched by those cops? or like, just being out of some investigation on him? why he would mess with that kind of business?
- he needed to compensate him for his services plus he's already slightly invested in the familyJG_LB
- Invested how?freedom
- Mike needs these little jobs now that he is going to be helping his daughter-in-law.MondoMorphic
- His motivation has always been his granddaughter. And his daughter in law hinted (not very discretely) that he should help them with money.ORAZAL

- ok so 5 seasons and all you cunts posting 7 pages worth of posts can't be wrong.
I stopped after season 1 and couldn't get back into it. it looks like it's well_niko - ...worth starting again. My biggest gripe in the beginning was the slower pace(which i'm ok with) and the fact that it takes place in the past but they all look_niko
- ...so much older. Plus i wanted to see some of the old characters from BB making cameos._niko

season 4. thoughts? So far so good. I'm kinda hoping for random, background glimpses of the Walt and others
- Loving it so far. Episode 1 was *killer*. And Rhea Seehorn is fantastic.e-wo
- kinda hoping they don't lean any harder on familiar characters, though. not everyone needs a prequel.e-wo
