Winner: Belgium
- haha nope!tank02
- I know, but I Argentina was already taken. I will say this though, the Belgians are wasting a good group of players on an average manager.Wolfboy
- Also, you just got rid of one of the best away kits in football. That classic cycling kit as a football shirt was nice.Wolfboy
- I think Argentina will do badly this year. They lost 7-1 to Espain.Chimp
- Yeah, I’ve seen the run up to the tournament they’ve had; but it'll be Messi's last WC and they have a tough group which might spur them on to bigger things...Wolfboy
- ...if they can come through it.Wolfboy
- Ok I’d like to take back my Argentina guess in the notes and get fully behind my original post. Belgium all the way.Wolfboy

All I predict is that England fans will, once again despite every iota of evidence to the contrary, expect way too much from their team and find themselves astonished, hurt and confused when England inevitably spirals out without significant hope, impact or consequence.
- Classic line but hasn't really been true for 10+ years. Ask any 'fan' what they expect and it is actually very little. Doesn't stop them dreaming though.Hayzilla
- Not me, I’m more than happy when England crash out early. Then I can get on with enjoying the football. It’s the hope that kills you.Wolfboy
- hahaha, that's such a British thing to say.
If I ever get a tattoo...detritus

Looking at all these “hooligan” violent soccer fan videos you guys posted. And you guys in Europe make fun of our sports and fans here in the states??
Nothing comes close, not even the isolated incidents of a few cities burning trash cans and flipping cars after championship wins.
The only comparisons might be Raider fans.
- US cities are big and hundreds of miles apart. In Europe, England particularly, rival towns are a few miles apart. There are 92 professional clubs in England -Fax_Benson
- at least 10 just in London. Travelling away to other teams isn't prohibitive in terms of time and cost. The US was violent and gang obsessed in the 80s.Fax_Benson
- In Europe violence attached itself to football teams. Then national teams. Gang violence + a day out somewhere different became a cultural experience.Fax_Benson
- Multiply it if your team / country qualifies to play overseas.Fax_Benson
- We make fun of your ‘football’ because it’s daft.MrT

- Any non bold (ultra even) text on a busy background is a horrible approach.soundofreason

Croatia has a really good team, I wouldn't be surprised if they take it pretty far this time.
