Is anyone using Inbox regularly now? I've been using both the Gmail app and Inbox on my phone and trying to see if I like it more.
- Looks a lot nicer than gmail but still prefer how gmail works. Normally...set
- Inbox 95% of the time on desktop, 100% on mobile.ORAZAL
- yup I am. I like it.zenmasterfoo

I'd be nearly ready to switch on mobile if they had an android widget.
- I don't get widgets, why not just open the app... it's only one tap away?set
- a widget is zero taps awayakiersky
- Because tapping once to open the app is such hard work? Don't you have apps on your homescreen? Which would mean it would be one swipe away anwyway....set
- Don't get it at all.set
- A big feature of android is the ability to have widgets. It gives me the power to design my own experience.akiersky
- For my case, I use gmail for work and personal. I have a screen with a widget linked to each, easy checking both accounts in one glanceakiersky

It's confusing. I'm still opening gmail just to make sure I'm not missing important emails.
I don't understand whats wrong with just having it all in a standard chronological list. That's worked fine for me for 10+ years...
- yep it is confusing but I reckon it wouldn't be if I put time into it. But like you say - on a busy day you just want email how you are used to it.fadein11

"To coincide with Inbox’s announcement, we created a film that introduces it to the world. Inbox is the biggest rethink of email since Gmail, and it’s a big step for the Gmail team, too. Who better to introduce Inbox to the world than the people who created it? The film’s story is housed in an email from the team at Gmail, to the world. We show the role that email plays in our lives today and introduce Inbox’s unique benefits that help you get things done and get back to life.Directed by our very own, Jon+Torey, we shot across LA and NY to capture a range of real people in real scenarios.
We wanted our film to maintain energy all the way through while portraying the spirit of the product at a meta level. Once Inbox is introduced in the film, the tempo and technique begin to pick-up and mirror the way the product works in your life."

As zaq mentioned, Mailbox by Orchestra (bought by Dropbox) is a more elegant cross-device email solution:
Currently in open beta for desktop and available for iOS and android (not that anyone uses an up to date version of that anyway)...

Did the recent Gmail mobile update change to match how things are done in Inbox? I can't tell which emails are read and unread now.

anyone have an invite?

Inbox is not about your email, your communication or your ease in managing
Inbox is about how google serve you ads and how they will be the gatekeeper for other advertisers who they will not need to pay google even more to reach the your inbox.
Inbox ties your communication and life to ads and data retargeted, packaged and sold to advertisers.

Can someone tell my why MailBox has to sync with Dropbox? I know its owned by them but what does the sync part have to do with anything?
Is it so Dropbox can go through your emails the same way they do your files? also does it then eat into your dropbox space?
