Seems like people who are already driving SUVs equipped with optional turn signals will be willing to shell out the extra money so they can be driven with their coffee in one hand and cell phone in the other.
Honestly, how is this better, more economical and sustainable than some reliable public transport?
Me? Hell, I'm still happy to pay less for a manual transmission.
On another note, with security and hacking concerns these days; what the fuck, Google?

I work with some car manufacturers, the tech is pretty much there, they no longer talk about the driver sitting ready to take over, more like, play on the iPad or take a nap...
..but it'll just be more time for you to be "productive", ie your boss will expect you to arrive at work with a bunch of stuff already done!
- vs sitting and staring at the car in front of you in traffic?hereswhatidid

I see them every day here, multiple times a day – and they are NEVER driving themselves. Unless the requirement is that you have your hands on the wheel, in which case it's a fucking waste of time.

cadillac, mercedes and audi and a bunch of 2015 models now have advanced cruise control with driver assist which basically uses radar to keep distance from cars in front and behind.
The S7 above system changes lanes though. yea sounds pretty lame and boring for sure.
