Sorry for the rant in this thread but.
I have been using ChatGpt it since the beginning for various text generation tasks, business optimization, coding. Never for images, today my partner needed some images for a school activity, I started creating one by one, then the UI proposed that I can batch the generation of multiple images, I added that same phrase on the prompt and now my account has been flagged as some kind of automated bot activity, but that is my hunch, since tech support is non existent. I managed to send an email after frustrating chats on the help page and got a message that I might get an answer in the following days... days!
I am a plus customer, if this is not an AI bubble where a simple customer support structure cannot be provided from the supposedly AI Agent developer leader, explain to me what it is.
- That is unfortunate. But that’s not what a bubble means?monospaced
- The overestimated company that cannot solve simple customer support with its own AI agents is a clear sign of AI bubble. IMOSalarrue
- I must be thinking of a different kind of bubble then. I hope this gets worked out. Cheers.monospaced
- customer service bubble where they all remain equidistant from the guy who got banned for batch generating images of childrenkingsteven

Speaking of Walsh, she's getting some backlash in her latest Instagram reel discussing AI:

This GitHub script claims to wipe all of Windows 11's AI features in seconds — "RemoveWindowsAI" can disable every single AI feature in the OS, from Copilot to Recall and more

- this ad makes me want to drink, not eat a cheeseburgermxhxr
- It's not terrible but not great either. I feel like the people promoting AI so much only have themselves to blame for all the negativity.yuekit
- People are just hating on AI no matter what. Probably has to do with the fact that these big corporations should pay humansNBQ00
- Yeah it has turned into kind of an angry mob but what did the AI people expect? Constantly talking about how artists and designers will be replaced by an AI.yuekit
- It's awful but not because of AI being used. LOLKrassy
- I think this pull is part of the plan. I never heard about the backlash. So they pulled it for nothing and now everyone is watching the ad.stewart
- Quite a conspiracycanoe
- Trying to use AI because some morons in marketing think it's trendy is actually retarded and people noticed!********
- graf, you would never do that at your 4 agencies.NBQ00

AGI Will Never Happen, and Superintelligence Is a Fantasy
- The dead eyed guys say it's going to happen if you keep filling up the infinite money machine.PhanLo
- It’s definitely happening though.monospaced
- you have evidence, mono?NBQ00
- We're still not even clear on what consciousness is. And if we can’t define consciousness, we can’t define agency (the one thing AGI should have).palimpsest
- I’m not against AGI. I just think we’re missing the conceptual foundation to know what we’re even aiming at.palimpsest
- Consciousness isn’t defined yet but not in a way the sciences agree on. So calling something AGI feels premature, not impossible.palimpsest
- I think the simplest definition is an AI that can generalize and learn new things from scratch rather than needing an internet's worth of training data.yuekit
- AGI or not.... +4°C till 2035....the planet is gonna burnneverscared
- And the idea is once this happens things could hit a tipping point, like with Kurzweil's idea of the Singularity, where the AI surpasses humans, it startsyuekit
- improving itself like in the movie Transcendence starring Johnny Depp and either we all die or we live forever, cancer is cured, global warming is solved etc.yuekit
- The singularity isn't happening here. We'd need a billionaire mass extinction event for further societal progress.garbage
- I don’t think “true consciousness” and agi are the same thing.monospaced
- I’m not calling anything agi yet. But it’s going to happen. I’m pretty confident that is coming sooner than expected.monospaced
- I’m more than half way into the doomer camp too, and I’m not sure “we” should be striving for something that has so much potential for harm.monospaced

The fear of AGI holds up a mirror to how humans have always equated intelligence with control. We call it AGI when it looks like it can overpower us. But that’s not about intelligence, it’s about domination. One doesn’t have to follow the other.
- if thats such a - always equated- u sure have no problem to find examples in the thousands where that happened... likely too much generalisations in thatneverscared
- statement to have a lot of inellectual grip.neverscared

OpenAI’s billion-dollar Disney deal puts Mickey Mouse and Marvel in Sora
new three-year licensing agreement announced between Disney and ChatGPT operator OpenAI will allow the Sora video generator to create “user-prompted social videos” that feature more than 200 characters from Disney, Marvel, Pixar, and Star Wars.
