found a movie, even worse than the last two, fuck me this was terrible. Might be worth watching for Nicholas Cage pretend to be a born again christian cosplaying as James Brown in the body of a vampire. The plot barely makes any sense, feel sorry for Stephen Dorff

What was it that you felt made it bad?PhanLo - -SPOILERS-
It’s ’From Dusk ‘Til Dawn’ without the fun, characters, depth, pace and performances.
It clumsily attempts to tell the story of the blues but...Morning_star - ...avoids its origins and then attempts to link a phenomenal mastery of music in a galvanising thread across all of human existence.
Jack O’Connell’s and Wunmi...Morning_star - ...Mosuka’s characters are the best thing about it and entirely wasted.
What the fuck was the point of the sex scene. Michael B Jordan’s played the same guy...Morning_star - ...twice, the brothers thing was unnecessary. No explanation of how the one brother survived. And then the post credit bollocks began.Morning_star

Fantastic four? More like fantastic bore ammirite? ;)
Saw it with my son last night it was pretty good but waaaay too many ludicrous plot holes and things that defy logic.
Also felt it should have been a series, story moved way too fast for an 2 hour film and you were totally disengaged.
Side note- stayed till the end credits and noticed there were like 10,000 people that worked on this including 35 credited “plasterers” and I can’t help to think that in 2-3 years some kid is going to be making movies like this in his basement at zero cost.

I was excited for this. Trailers looked intriguing, kinda spooky, modern folk tale vibe set against small-town paranoia. The cast promised good things.
It's funny and satirical and there are some neat slapstick sequences. The violence and horror is mundane yet noteworthy. Josh Brolin, Julia Garner and Benedict Wong are all good enough. However, it's sub-par Stephen King. It's 'It' without the depth. When you find out the why and how of it all you're left with a resounding 'meh'.
I wish it was good but unfortunately the marketing is better than the movie.

I love Bong Joon Ho's cinema and he's definitely one of the greats, but I'm not sure his style translates well to Hollywood casts.
A surprising character for Pattinson. Mark Ruffalo's Trump impersonation was just awful to watch.
