I say, absolutely best of luck to them.Continuity - finallyhans_glib
- @mort_ you can't be serious :) it looks like they dust down some old AE files and gave them a 4k upscale. just pause the video for a sec and look at the frames.sted
- @sted - was referring to the style rather than the technical quality!mort_

Time traveling back to 2001, with a twist: We've resurrected our 2001 2Advanced V3 Expansions website using Rive and React JS! At the request of many in the community, we set out on mission to see if we could fully rearchitect the iconic site formerly awarded and dubbed the “Most Influential Website of the Decade”. Partnered up with the amazing Rive team, 2Advanced pushed the Rive app right up to and beyond limit to show that a nifty animation tool today stands tall as a full-fledged interactive platform for demanding interactive endeavors.
Of course, we were quite ambitious right out of the gate, given this was our very first project ever using the Rive App, but in just under two months, the two of us managed to build V3 with animations that match its Flash predecessor down to the keyframe. As such, we see V3 Expansions - 2024 Rive Edition as a prelude to even more amazing projects well into 2025. Huge thanks to the hashtag#RiveApp team for supporting our journey. And now, sit back and enjoy a nostalgic trip at http://www.2advanced.com

- Some poor bastard had to sit there for weeks or months deconstructing Flash files, and re-doing them with CSS and JS. Fuck me.Continuity

I don't get the nostalgia for them. As I remember it, their work wasn't very well received by the community and with reason. They were the Michael Bay of web design, taking all the techniques and innovation and making a horrible mess out of it.
It all looks as bad to me now as it did back then.- I know what you mean. Feels like some minority report shitIanbolton
- which wasn't even directed by Michael BayIanbolton
- lol @ 'the Michael Bay of web design'
Yup!Continuity - Michael Bay in the Criterion Collection********

- @nb flol, for what? Armageddon? It is important to remember that CC is not just great films, but defining touchstones in film.garbage
- That said, Tiny Furniture is in the CC, and I don't know how you explain that one.garbage
- i think for me, i was impressed with the 'how' so to speak... in many ways they were doing some pretty amazing things..exador1
- i wasn't a big fan of the tiny 3 pt type, and the incomprehensible space designs....exador1
- i was more of a fan on the overall technical stuff...exador1
- Knowing how to pull off an explosion does not make for a great movie.palimpsest
- but if you're an amateur film maker wanting to make movies with explosions, then you're going to want to Know How.Nairn
- Looking back at much of the old internet 'we' claim to love and miss, I can't help but feel a lot of it looked fucking awful.Nairn
- Minds me of Enigma's first album - the tech made it so he could mix fucking pan pipes and Gregorian chanting, but the modern ear's like "wtf is this madness?!"Nairn
- But at the time we thought it was amazing, because it had never been done.
Should never have been done, but there we were, amazed.Nairn - @palimp True, but you can't deny that his style is instantly recognizable ('splosions, bad writng, stupid plot).garbage
- Nobody ever says "Ha, that's totally a Michael Haneke moment". They, say "Haha, Bay moment".garbage
