- doesn't the term dance music negate the electronic part?refunktion

A similar question to refunktion's (and certainly a mark of my age):
What's the difference between this EDM, and EBM (e.g.: Front 242-style)?

EDM is not dead... The fucking stupid name EDM is dead.

Couldn't care less if the whole "EDM" is dead, the artists that I like are still producing amazing music so I don't care!

How is dance music ever not electronic?
Why are Americans so bad at this?

- Disco music is traditionally not created electronically.monospaced

Huh, if ukit's list is anything to go by, I don't like EDM either - but my impression is that electronic music of the not entirely idiotic kind is not only alive and well but is just getting betterer and betterer.
*shrugs*
Mind you, ukit's list appears to consist of the current generation of ridiculous saccharine teen pop that every music sub-/generation has to endure.

I've been a fan of Dance music for years...what it seems is that it has its ebb and flow...quality is still out there being made. This will pass eventually and come back around later.

Man, some people here are ignoring the fact that the VAST MAJORITY of these superstar cheeseballs are not from the US.
Let's start with the number one cheeseball DJ, probably of all time (if we ignore paul okenfold's haircut) he speaks english just like arnold schwarzenegger, you guessed it. He is not from the states.
