QBNers...
I need your help. I am running a site called Freelance Unleashed. I really want this to be a useful source for any freelance designer, but also for anyone running a small design studio.
The problem is that the people that have taken on staff are put off my the word freelance. But the advice I want to put out is useful for both.
Should I change the name to "Creative Business Unleashed" or something like that, or leave it as it is?

ideaist - yeah, that's the site, but what I mean is, a few people that wanted to write some posts for the site said "oh ,it's just for freelancers, and I run a studio now" ...
So that's why i'm thinking of changing the name.
- Understood. It's all in the name as you seem to be aware... : )ideaist

matchmaking of solving a client problem?
Sometimes it is better to get feed back from the potential client then the art side.
A client usually wants something solved and the method isnt always important. if you think from the client side maybe include a sense of problem solving into the name.
Maybe you need a think more about the brand. what problems you are trying to solve? also the emotions and perceptions you want to create for the target audience.
From my perception a name comes from the foundation of business objectives, more of strategy foundation etc. solves alot of issues in the process.

I like to smoke pot or drink a glass of wine or beer while I design so I work from my flat...unleashed.

I'm curious why your clients are put off by the word freelance. Not only is it the right word, but it's completely accepted in the business world. Is there some sort of stigma growing around freelancing now, and we need a euphemism to cover up the growing stink of rancid freelance?
Meh.
How this:
The Independent Creative™
(Slogan: Have Ideas, Will Travel.)- Ah, soz, didn't see your post about folk running studios.Continuity
- Carry on, then.
