Apple's cord situation is completely out of control
http://finance.yahoo.com/news/ap…- is it though? they a ripping the bandaid off the mess of different ports and pushing for one standard. Painful. Annoying. But perhaps a good thing.inteliboy
- though dropping the SD-card slot on a pro machine is a mind boggling stupid to me.inteliboy
- There is no next gen port replacement, just poof, gone. I use it all the time, and I hate having to plug my camera in and I don't want a fucking adapter!monospaced
- It's also a tiny thin slot, so it's not like it would make the machine thicker. I don't give a fuck about bigger speakers. Give me function.monospaced

The new machines still seem underpowered for Pro machines. Only one has the i7 standard?!

They STILL think 16GB of RAM is enough for everyone who wants a Macbook Pro.

Apple's Tim Cook has been saying the exact same thing about TV for years

Well I certainly hope that by the time I purchase the parts for my hackintosh build Apple has updated their iMac line at least, otherwise the components have to be based on what's currently there. Nvidia at least updates their drivers independently from Apple, but man this was a disappointing event.

Does Phil Schiller still talk like he's a primary school teacher addressing a class of six year olds?

This is pretty impressive...but do they really think people are going to DJ with a touch bar hahaa
Will be interesting to see if other laptops adopt something similar
- I think a Touch Bar "app" will come about that will mirror these functions on iPad/iPhone/etc. like @yoekit said above.ideaist

MagSafe is absolutely brilliant, and the only visible part of MacBook the competition cannot use in their laptops because of patents.
Whose MacBook wasn't saved by it, raise your hand.
*raises three hands
Sure, out with it, there's a new plug in town!

"Apple has dozens of software engineers in Canada building a car operating system, a rare move for a company that often houses research and development projects close to its Cupertino, California headquarters, according to people familiar with the matter.
Many of the engineers working in Canada were hired over the past year and about two dozen came from BlackBerry Ltd.’s QNX, a leading automotive software provider, the people said. "

^^^ You're probably right, unfortunately. Personally, I only care about the CPU/GPU specs. Memory and hard drive upgrades will be an iDildo right in the old iAss, just like always. Don't care about ports or charging.
