Has anyone else had issues upgrading to Big Sur 11.0.1 from Catalina 10.15.7?

Based on the @sted link above; never REALLY found a use for it as I use an external monitor most of the time (closed laptop), BUT
Display macOS Dock in Touch Bar.
It's free and open source, and it also brings some minimalistic widgets with it!- I'd love to use the Touch Bar more, but my work laptop is plugged into a monitor and kept closed 99% of the time. I rarely even use my home MBP these days.mg33

- Well, they said Apple ARM this year. My money is on Macbook Air's, and maybe some sorta iMac.section_014
- Mac Mini with ARM rathergrafician
- but stay away from 1st generation new stuff from Apple, maybe in 2 more years they're ok for productiongrafician
- One thing is for sure: no more repairs, so choose wisely your configurations as you can't upgrade anymore in the future sadlygrafician
- I'll only consider one when all my audio plugins are confirmed working. Which is gonna be at least a few years, if I had to guess.section_014
- Plus, benchmarks, of course.section_014
- re benchmarks pretty sure Apple can beat Intel anytime they want with unlimited RD funding, wanna bet they'll go into servers in 2-3 seasons?grafician
- ^that video NBQ posted with a 16" ARM MBPro that lasts 2-3 days uuuuh boy, Intel is in big trouble.grafician
- Intel knew years ago Apple would switch. Intel isn’t just in trouble because of Apple. They’re in trouble because they suck.NBQ00

The iPhone maker's biggest event of the year will be Oct. 13, Apple will officially announce the biggest change and update to their iPhone iOS. Apple is making the mask Emoji look happier during the pandemic
- headline makes little sense, because Apple already released the new iOS a month ago and this remotely a big changemonospaced

"Apple Books TSMC’s Entire 5nm Production Capability"
"TSMC won’t have to worry about finding additional customers for its 5nm line any time soon. If reports are true, Apple bought the entire production capacity for the iPhone, iPad, and other refreshed devices it has recently launched or will launch in the coming weeks. Apple hasn’t refreshed the iPhone yet this year, but it’s expected to do so in October, and the company has had a lock on TSMC’s 5nm production for months.
TSMC will build 5nm chips for the iPhone 12, iPad Air, 5G iPad Pro, and any future MacBook or iMac systems Apple launches with its own custom ARM silicon. In 2019, Apple is thought to have accounted for about 20 percent of TSMC’s monthly revenue, making it one of TSMC’s largest customers."

"UK-based computer chip designer ARM Holdings is being sold to the American graphics chip specialist Nvidia."
How will that play out for the ARM based chips Apple were due to switch over to? Seeing as Apple shunned Nvidia GPU's recently (and most annoyingly for those wanting to use Octane etc).

Are any of you using an iPad + Apple Pencil + Sidecar to do drawing, sketching, or writing?
I'm getting tempted to get an iPad Air and the Pencil 1 if it can work pretty well in SideCar mode and also work within Miro or other drawing tools.
- I have a friend doing that mix, it works
If the iPad had a larger screen no need for Wacoms anymore for suregrafician

iOS 14 introduces a feature that alerts users when apps access their clipboards, and tons of apps have been caught clipboard snooping.
LinkedIn is one of the iOS apps that has been reading user clipboards, and iPhone owners have complained that the app copies the contents of the clipboard with every keystroke.
