Do you think it would be possible to live like this?
- mantrakid0
doable if you dont spend a lot of time at home i think.. otherwise, would be hell after a while.

"So conservatively, we spend about $2800 to live out of this damn house (!!!!). Divide that by 30 and we’re basically spending $93.00 every SINGLE day to sleep here. That’s insane. And in case you haven’t guessed yet, we could rent a hotel room for the same cost, if not less!"
good luck with that, guy.

But you can sell your house at the end.
How about getting an apartment for under $2800?
- mantrakid0
/\ wordup.. for $2,700 you could rent a pretty fresh apartment, stacked to the teeth with amenities...

I've lived in apartments before. One time ended up not getting paid for a gig on time and had to chuck everything in storage and hold up in a budget for a few months. Was rough and bleak. You have no rights as tenants, you can be out the very day you don't have the money. Hotels are full of people who just had 5 or 6 big things go wrong for them, just a few unlikely deals of the cards and you're on your ass in this country, and it's twice as hard to get back up again. "Character building", and material for screenplays and movies, certainly.

i been living in different hotels in different cities in florida and in china..
reading the pros on that site.. everything there sounds more like its talked towards that hotel.. as all hotels are different.. i am currently in a 5 star hotel that 7 restaurants, 3 bars, free breakfast, giant swimming pool, a floor of sauna/ steam room, a floor for massage/ happy endings if you want it, a floor for KTv/ nightclub, a floor with 5 rooms containing every single type of weight machine and free weights, 24 room service, i get my room cleaned everyday, i get daily fresh fruit sliced and a fruit drink freshly squeezed of my choice every morning free, the service is excellent, laundry service.. plus the company pays for it all..that is china.. in florida, the service is rather crap in comparison and the hotel due to price is also crap in comparison with more than triple the daily price, i get less than half of what is offered above plus its not a 4 star hotel, just either a marriot or holiday in style with coffee and muffins in the morning, a pool and very strange random guests, so of which seem to live there almost indefinitely.. i was told some guests hav e lived in those florida hotels for over 3 years.. seems so weird..
i rather dont like living out of my suitcases, but in china the hotel experience is rather amazing.. if compared to renting or owning your apartment where all those sweet amenities are yours to figure out for your self and most likely not on site..

I've done it before because I had no money and was between jobs. It sucked, but It was necessary for me to getting myself started on a new place.
I was 2 steps from the beach, and I could hear the waves and the conversations of crack addicts that slept on the beach. haha

the only issue i have with living in a hotel is really getting to know the staff, since i stay here for months at a time, they become like family for me, and then i have to return to my other hotel home until i sign a lease.. but its like thanksgiving dinners when i return back to china.. my other other home..
im gonna miss this place.. only have a few days left here.. oi

Lived in a long term hotel for 1.5 years at The Emperor Norton in SF. I run of the place and wired it up with high speed internet, installed a live cam at The Owl Tree bar and got free drinks there. Was great fun until the dot com implosion.

I travel a bunch and live out a suitcase a lot... I'll stay in a hotel for weeks (not months like e-pill). I'm not a fan. I hate people coming in my room and doing shit. My bed is a shitload better than hotel beds. Hotel furniture generally isn't ergo friendly... I love to travel, but in the end, I like having my apt. Plus I can't really make food, and eating out generally won't be as healthy for me, and much more expensive.
That's my take.
- spot on. if you came to my room you would think i jusst got there, i never unpack..e-pill

If it works for Marissa Mayers who lives in a posh penthouse of "Four Seasons" it will work for you too.
