You know, i sat down at my desk at home last night for the first time in a week or two, and my Logitech mouse seemed so odd in my hand after using this Magic Mouse at work for a while. I might have to think about switching at home. I have not even customized or figured out some of the advanced gestures, but it works really well.

I love my Magic Mouse, but every now and then in InDesign the scroll goes nuts.
I would love a preference that could shut off mouse scroll within individual apps. I don't need it InDesign. Maybe I should set a shortcut key for shutting off scroll....
- if you hold shift the scroll goes like 50X faster... it's so fucking broken and fuck Adobe for that shitmonospaced
- OMG. Are you saying that this is only happening when I'm holding shift? THANKS!!nb

any body got a replacement for this LazyMouse App, I've always used it in Mac OsX and it doesn't work anymore in Mavericks :(

Just switched to one from a Mighty Mouse.
I'm liking it so far. Though, I do experience the random cursor jumps every now and then. It might just be me getting used to it. I enjoy being able to scroll through content/sites once again. Is there a way to turn off the springy effect that happens once you hit the edge of a web page?

the flaw of the mighty mouse is that it has moving parts (the ball, which always gets fucked)
hate using anything other than a magic mouse

check out better touch tool: http://www.boastr.net/
you can set application specific settings and gestures. Plus some great window snapping tools.
As for the adobe problems with scrolling, for me scrolling is just more sensitive than I expect, and delayed a bit. So slow it down and enjoy the superior mouse.

yeah it's shit. I use a $2 dell mouse from the office dump and it's wonderful

i might get timelined for this but in ID you can turn off scrolling left & right so it just goes vertically.... sorted it out for me – until i got a wacom!

Had a Magic Mouse that died after a year.

Don't know if it was mentioned above, but just had the same realization. Forgot my intuos at home, so found myself on a magic mouse... Result: indesign flying around like crazy. Searched around and found Magic Prefs. Using it you can customize all kinds of stuff, but all i used it for so far was to disable up/down, side/side and diagonal scrolling. No problems since. Behaves like a regular ol' mouse

- Adobe refuses to admit they fucked up scrolling in InDesign... it's so fucking frustratingmonospaced
- Yea it's shit. Not magic mouse fault.set
- Any mouse scrolling is amplified 4X in ID, and it goes in huge chunks instead of smooth. It's stupid.monospaced
- I use option-pageup/down exclusively now. Programmed into mouse buttons.monospaced

I love Magic Mouse. Since I started using the Mighty Mouse so many years ago my carpel tunnel has completely vanished. Couldn't work without the multi touch gestures now.
It eats through batteries though. Would probably prefer a wired one.

Using one at my new job and I like it, but does anyone else's hand get numb on the outer edge of your hand (beneath pinky finger, on the edge of your palm) from the abrupt, unrounded edge of the mouse?

I bought a Moshi mouse mat, handy because it also doubles up as a screen protector for the macbook pro. Definitely made the mouse more precise.
