The Brief
"Create a rallying cry for Type 1 diabetes that targets people of all ages, encouraging them to donate money to help support continued research on the disease."Good thing Bozell had a backup to "I don't <3 TOD", because that ship was sinking hard. Their backup "ONE" has been done time and time again but they answered the brief and it seemed like the kind of thing a non profit would jump on.
MUSE's "One less prick" went for the younger demo...I think they were very close with the idea but the time constraints forced them to go with an unpolished idea. Unfortunately those designs needed a ton of help so that probably aided in the loss.
P.S. That strategy guy from Bozell was not being a voice of reason he was being a total dick.
- I would have never walked into a meeting with the creative MUSE had.calcium

This show could seriously hurt some agencies. Good thing people aren't watching, but Muse would never get hired again.

This jagoff making 9/11 all about himself and his business as if he/they are the only ones that suffered loss. What a bitch.

Womenk!nd, if only your pitch was tighter...le sigh.

Any of you watch the last episode? These heart-wrenching emotional bits are pathetic. I'm a sensitive guy, but guess what: some dad that has to work a lot on a fucking ad pitch isn't a hero. He's not a doctor saving people. IT'S A FUCKING AD PITCH. They make it seem like he's going to be gone for months. Working late, and working a lot isn't special.

^ and his work was boring and cliche. Poor kid.
- mg330
Yeah, that episode was weird. I though it was cliche too, but the execution was so much better than the other groups. He presented really well.
Then you get that hyperactive dildo in there bouncing around and talking too fast, rambling about all that's wrong with their stuff right off the bat. I thought their work was horrible. Could not believe they won.

^ yes that Bandujo guy was stupid. The type in the video was bad.
Why don't any of these agencies hire real designers or even have an understanding of what good design is?
Fuck strategy if your stuff isn't well designed.
- Fuck strategy and design if you don't have good taste, from conception to execution.mikotondria3

Haha, we just watched the end (I saw it the other night, but my wife is watching it for the first time). I screamed "that looks like typography a college kid would have done 10 years ago!" That work was visually disgusting.

I majored in advertising in college but don't think i would ever choose to work in it. I used to want to. But it's funny, I think I've grown to have this attitude that I couldn't handle working to contribute to the sale of so much vapid, useless shit. I know there's good advertising for good things, but somewhere in my mind I guess I"m thinking that so much of our culture is about buying dumb shit we don't need, and thus the advertising is about convincing people to waste their money. I don't think I could deal with that side of it.
- They'll only spend the money somewhere else. You can do good work all the time and live with yourself. It's a choice.mikotondria3

Plus lame graffitti stuff.
Small ad agencies are just guys with business degrees who think they know about design and.
They're oblivious and so are their clients.

It's back and weaker than ever.

Watching new episode right now. Episode just went off a cliff with this guys dubstep addiction. Oh well, At least that is better than a sob story about not seeing your kids for two nights.

Do agencies really pitch across the table from their competitor? Or is this a TV thing?
- Gotta be a tv thing to make it more dramaticdbloc
- I think it's entirely up to the client on this showmonospaced
