If HTML5 "has clearly won the fight for the future of our web browsing", what is the need for the movement?
- html5 does not need a movement********

On second thought, Adobe's really leaving a sour taste in my mouth given their recent plan on refocusing flash (http://blogs.adobe.com/conversa...
I think this technology would be better served by being sold to a true technology company OR given to the public to take on as an open source initiative.
I'd like to see Macromedia re-banded as a revived commercial entity or a community-based team that re-refocuses flash to be what it was once intended to be: a powerful tool for building rich interactive applications on *any* platform.
And my obligatory disclaimer: I don't use flash anymore, but I've worked with it and 'competing' technologies enough to recognize it's viability in the web and mobile sectors.

I'd actually be interested to see the work this group has done individually that would invalidate the need for flash. Because it seems to me they're inadvertently protesting rich interactivity on the web as well.

If flash dies it's Adobe's fault. the *industry* is fickle and easily impressionable by anyone with a voice (like Steve Jobs).
And I've yet to see Adobe make any public effort to defend their product through advertising or similar venues, and to me, that's damn near the same as conceding defeat.
- not defeat but probably government telling them to kill it.
think about it.74LEO

the web should support any and all languages, plug ins. we can not pick and choose!

Leave Apple alone!
- poor apple! im starting to fucking hate their phone, hate how they fuck users with each update74LEO
- hahaha, what?monospaced

if we could get the entire design industry and apple product users to stand up to apple and adobe we will have flash support for all devices.
I fuckign hate adobe for the pure fact that it has no competition thus giving me no choice and whats to stop them from doing anything since i cant go to another company.
