On second thought, Adobe's really leaving a sour taste in my mouth given their recent plan on refocusing flash (http://blogs.adobe.com/conversa...
I think this technology would be better served by being sold to a true technology company OR given to the public to take on as an open source initiative.
I'd like to see Macromedia re-banded as a revived commercial entity or a community-based team that re-refocuses flash to be what it was once intended to be: a powerful tool for building rich interactive applications on *any* platform.
And my obligatory disclaimer: I don't use flash anymore, but I've worked with it and 'competing' technologies enough to recognize it's viability in the web and mobile sectors.
