its a tough place to be, we have all probably been there once or twice. I always focus on being grateful and enjoying the things good in life while at the same time aggressively looking for a mature and sensible way to move on...most times once my headspace changes things mellow out and I turn my attentions to what really counts, being creative and use outlets other than work to do it. I would only quit if your seriously physically depressed because of situations at work that are out of your control. your job happiness is a choice, same as the choice you made when you took the job. a run away ego is a terrible conversation starter. theres books you can read on that. if you can decipher new age crap without getting caught up in it theres a book called the power of now by eckhart tolle that is all about choosing happiness by living in the moment with a clear headspace rather than living for your future haunted by your past overwhelmend by the unceasing voice inside your head (ego) telling you your not ok...spend some time with friends, help someone out/do something good, take some long walks, buy some new music and if all else fails smoke a LITTLE weed...: )

bro, I went freelance after being in the same situation, same city, same profession.
if that is what you want to do go for it! otherwise, if you want some full time and challenging work I can point you to a few people.
London is packed full of front end freelance work.shout me for a gas.

Either time to quit of for a vacation or longed break doing something different.

I think a lot of people go though similar situations... but it sounds like some of the issues you're having are a little more serious than not liking your job. I say try to address those issues specifically... because if you quit your job, go on vacation and try to come back hoping things will be better I think you'll be right back where you started 2 months ago...
its good to get a new job, its good to take a break / vacation but if you have issues in your life that need to be addressed you need to take care of that or else you're gonna feel pretty shitty for a long time.
hope you find a way through this and good luck
- i agree completely. the sleep thing needs to be fixed asap. humans are 'not right' if theyre not sleeping right.mantrakid

It's all about what drives you and what you will do with the boat loads of time on your hands, I quit about a year ago, not much saved at the time and times have been rough but I am not in a ditch so I say so far so good. Just make it happen
