This was always seen as the problem of immigrants(riots of paris in 2005) but London Riot proved it to be wrong. Europe created a society within society that's isolated, ghettofied and neglected. Although among all the nations, Europe has the most successfull working socialism.
On one hand there are Arabs whose got enough with tyrants on the other hand, kids who have the most democratic and social rights among the world. There's also the US that has a stable democracy but a broken social system. I dunno, people want a change as a whole maybe, maybe no more Rulers and Ruled no matter how much democracy is given. Or it is solely a problem of morality where only a few countries has invested in in the past and not having problems at the moment. This seems like the result of materialism pumped in the veins of europe since the industrial revolution. I can't imagine a plain churchgoer committing this kind of crimes.- ??????georgesIII
- churchgoers commit other criomes. sell yourt religion somewhere else, will ya.pizzafire
- < sorry sir for making my point about these stuff. I wish I haven't added the word religion it sure is a bad thing.Beeswax

This problem can't be reserved for a class, a race. Some people in the past changed the path of the river in Europe, they are told that they are the only God to be worshipped. The ones who became successful in material achivements fell into the endless delusion of glorifying themselves and got partially satisfied with instant happiness and sat in their homes. The others who couldn't achieve the same decided to live this system in their own way and poured on to the streets. They are getting their rights of material gains just like you are getting it, but in a different way.
Many people here are like, I was poor too but I worked hard and I got what I needed. What did you get really? You are happy until the next generation smart phone or tv or car comes out. You're just chasing the carrot and you're so scared to think about the end of this story, because for you it'll be like pulling the plug of the tv and the show'll be over. No, the show just begins then. Otherwise our la la lives are so stupid. So stupid that you get drunk, he gets high, them loot, others kill.

This made my cry with shame for my country:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-144…
My grandparents fought in WW2 so we could remain a free society, and this is how the kids of today repay that.
Poor guy just arrived here 1 month ago on a scholarship, and some stupid thugs beat him up and steal his stuff. The riots have highlighted this case, but it happens all the time, all across the country. Least we forget this nightmare: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/engla…
In this country schools are free, hospitals are free, you get money if you can't work, children have rights - it's all there for them, it just needs them to make some effort and want to work towards a meaningful and productive life - there's no excuses. And worse still for those living in London - It's the capital city of England, it's got everything!!! And it's not just a rich mans playground - there's tonnes of things to do that are free: museums, galleries, etc...
Right... I've had enough of reading the news about it, hearing how politicians are going to do this and that, etc... I'm getting back to my life as a hard working designer.
- riots occurred in my city because we lost a hockey game... i'm afraid we've raised a generation of lazy bratsprophetone
- who apparently could care less or have never been taught to respect what was provided by generations pastprophetone
- times are tough but i fear many expect to be handed life on a silver platter, times were tough before tooprophetone
- when neighbours had to share flour because of rations, and people helped each other andprophetone
- made compromises to ensure their kids would have a better life. also working hard was commonplace.prophetone
- I couldn't agree more.Melanie

^ I was on the dole for 1 year after I finished university (I failed my GCSE's, had to retake them. I was first in my family to go to university. I stayed at home and went to local university as I couldn't afford to go away to university. I had kids just like these rioters steal my bicycle, throw apples at me, shout names at me. I didn't have any friends at uni as everyone else was in halls and i was left out of it all) - and as part of the dole scheme, you could get a refurbished PC for £60, which also included a printer and modem. That was my first step towards being a designer. I didn't have rich parents buying for me a Mac and Photoshop. I used demos and free software alternatives. And before getting the computer I used paper and pencil. It took effort and time, but I got there eventually. Now I'm independent and can respectfully pay my own way through life. I have a career. And I know the value of my effort. I'm not mega rich, but I'm happy to wake up and see the sun, or hear the birds singing, or see the smile of a friend.
These rioters - I can't understand their mentality. I can only imagine their brains have be rewired through binge drinking and drugs.
- These london rioters can at least intern in London as they live here. It was impossible for me...orpkoobcam2

Rubber bullets are one of the most inhumane "safe weapons". Commonly, at demonstrations they're used, they poke out eyes.
- yes very dangerous shitbenfal99
- but there are many different type of rubber bullets. there is even bean bags.benfal99
- and "at demonstrations" they usually give plenty of warning to disperse or else...prophetone
- they did this in vancouver and the idiots did not leave so they got a few rubber bullets and gasprophetone
- Sorry, poking eyes out beats all, even traditional Irish kneecapping...raf
