I'm not looking for zines about bands - I want the history of the way of life. I'm more interested in reading about street punk life in the inner city than the story of Black Flag.

I just read this and was very disappointed...
He only spends 25% of the time talking about Husker Du/Workbook/Sugar and the rest of the time talking about coming out and his terrible relationships with men who walked all over him.

I just read above that you're not interested in the "bands" just the lifestyle. Maybe GG Allen has some books you'd like.
