I think I can predict the future, might be a bit psychic as well... any of you guys into that shit?
- Hombre_Lobo0
my auntie is a tarot card reader, and i cant count the amount have things she has predicted.
the most recent being 1 month ago when doing my mums cards, she said that i hombre will be getting some money soon, and 3 days later i got a cheque for a tax rebate. she also predicted me going away on holiday but not being able to go (lost my passport) and many more!
So yeh i suppose i believe it completely and i would consider myself scientific and non religious.
- So your auntie knows most people receive money on a regular basis and that you're a sloppy. Impressive.Sep
- i could go on Sep, but i have no need to convince a worthless peon.Hombre_Lobo
- So now I'm "a worthless peon" for being sceptic about your auntie's paranormal abilities? Nice.Sep
- the holiday one she just stole your passport because shes a jerk like thatanimatedgif
- lol animatedgif.
dont take it personally sep, im only joking, i dont have anything against you :)Hombre_Lobo - Don't worry. The cards already told me that you love me.Sep

clearthought ever heard of Greg Braden? He is not a psych guy but does some great quantum physics with DNA.
I suggest you check out some of his speeches if you can
- yeah, been reading a lot about quantum physics latelyclearThoughts

I have no doubt about it myself. I think a lot of the issues have to do with the big number of bullshiters out there...
But have seen psychics and they can surely read you.
- researched any alternate universe stuff? I have some theories about AU and dreamsVikingKingEleven
- Yeah. It's called "cold reading" and there's nothing supernatural about it.Sep

Also check out the Show - Deception with Keith Barry. It was on discovery; research 'Black Ops Psychology' and the United States Airforce Psychic Warfare Division.

I just watched a documentary last night about this,
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glo…
... and pre-cognition and "morphic fields". Also I saw another documentary about a scientist working for Bell Laboratories who started doing research in his spare time on mindful intention and its effects on randomality, basically if people simply thinking can actually reduce the randomality of a machine generating random numbers. He was getting consistent positive results that suggested it was actually working and was subsequently hired by the CIA do more research. He said they are trying to figure out ways of technologically inducing and amplifying psychic abilities in people.
- my theory is our telekinesis and psych abilities were 'turned off' after the last floodVikingKingEleven
- This tells me everything I need to know about you.mikotondria3
- about me? what about the CIA, they take it very seriouslyDodecahedron
- Earth to MIKO, they're cities 2200 miles below sea level all over the world...Come on guy.VikingKingEleven

Quantum physics tells us that objects exist in a suspended physical state until observed, when they collapse to just one outcome — we don’t know what happens until we investigate, and our investigation influences that reality. Whether or not certain events may have happened some time ago, may not actually be determined until some time in your future — it may actually be contingent upon actions that have not yet taken place
- Physics also says the universe is completely interconnected with itself and that potentially includes our minds.Dodecahedron
- There's an unbelievable amout of bullshit written about quantum physics. This being some of it.Sep
- Totally. This is all bullshit. Anything that isn't math that has the word Quantum in front of it is Chopra-induced new age crap.mikotondria3
- this isn't actually quantum physics morons its hypothetical discussionDodecahedron
- there is nothing at all wrong with speculation, this is where science beginsDodecahedron
- This is the periphery of knowledge. From here we stand and gaze out on a sea of untruth, bullshit, conmen and books and Ed Dames-alikes.mikotondria3
- Ed Dames. I used to do acid, I used to love this stuff, but none of it is true yet, even by accident.mikotondria3
- quantum physics does NOT tell us that an unobserved tree in a forest does not exist, that's retardedscarabin
- who are you reading?scarabin
- Quantum was a VW model in the 80's... Quantum is the name of a $800 photo flash...vaxorcist
- Speculation starts where science ends. Read about the scientific method.CyBrainX
- mikotondria30
..quantum physics does not tell us this.
There is no wave/particle duality reading our minds and behaving as one thing OR another depending on how we measure it. Deepak Chopra is a fraud, this is all so much pseudo-religious intellectual masturbation.
- Dodecahedron0
If you consider the technological analogy that our minds are like wired networks of electricity and the universe is a huge web of energy itself you can continue this speculation that the wired network that is your mind is also a wireless network connected directly to reality around you. There is in fact scientific evidence of this interconnection.
- scarabin0
i call bullshit, personally
- Dodecahedron0
our brains aren't simply the CPU of our bodies, they are perceptual devices that get input via the wireless web of the universe.
- my acid trips want to believe this, then i sober up and realize i'm just hanging out with hippiesscarabin
- I am no hippy.Dodecahedron
- i'm sure you're notscarabin
- maybe your acid trip is the reality woooclearThoughts

my ex and I (not ex at the time) once had the same exact dream...and I mean down to details. Can't explain it but was spooky.

Take the PlayStation 3, but make it faster and with better graphics, and call it the PlayStation 4. That's telling the future, yo.
- scarabin0
i do believe that everything in the world is energy, (energy is matter, after all, and everything is just energy and matter interchanging), and that it can behave in unexpected ways because we're still kinda stupid and don't know all the details.
i can see no evidence to support the idea that we can read minds or see the future. declaring something seemingly simple like "i can see the future" comes with a lot more; you're automatically assuming, therefore, that all of history and and future events exist somewhere on some kind of observable continuum and that a person has some kind of special access to it. then you have to build a framework around the theory to support this, and before you know it you've left the realm of reality and have written a science fiction novel
- have you been watching "Through the Wormhole" ? If not, you should check it out. It covers this.monospaced
- another sci-fi book?scarabin
- no, it's a science tv series hosted by Morgan Freeman on the Science channel... so good when you're highmonospaced
- highly recommend it, even if they draw no conclusions except for: we're still searching for the answersmonospaced
- but it's real science!monospaced
- i'll check it out, thanksscarabin
- added!scarabin
- yeah, that's good shit.johnny_wobble

all evidence i've ever run across in favor of this sort of thing was strictly anecdotal and has never been proven in any of the millions of tests done under valid scientific conditions and processes
- yup... you're a realist/rationalistmonospaced
- realists would experiment critically rather than come to conclusions based on a handful of anecdotal evidenceDodecahedron
- you should watch through the worm hole because there is a lot of real research in this areaDodecahedron
- one of my favorite shows, and I also recommended it a few posts up.monospaced
- yeah and I just realized that was the same show that mentioned the Global Conciousness Project that I was talking about aboveDodecahedron

Predict means to express an outcome in advance.
Probability means a measure of how likely an event will occur.Probability Scale
0.1 - 50 - 99.99Probability can be measured by degree of belief or frequency of occurrence.
- 'SUP numbers guy!?monospaced
- can you run some permutations, perhaps?monospaced
- Take ages over it.mikotondria3
- Take ages over it.
What does that mean...KwonTuhm - I mean, like, make sure it's all correct. Then we'll understand. Should probably go over it a few times, couple of months, tops.mikotondria3

Some people have excellent subconscious pattern recognition abilities.... i.e. they can "predict" the future based on an insanely close awareness of what they've seen somebody do before...
- my GF can easily predict what some of her friends will do..... uh huh.... like magic...vaxorcist
- thats just pattern recognition.VikingKingEleven
- that's .... uh... what I said and predicted in the text to the left....vaxorcist

Any of you guys familiar with Nassiam Haramein?
He has a theory about the black hole sun, ect.
http://video.google.com/videopla…Part 1 of 45 LOL - Ya its long, it took me two full work days to get through it.
- ive heard good things about this guyThelonious_Funk
