Full moons vary in size because of the oval shape of its orbit, with one end closer to Earth. Tonight, the moon will be 221,565 miles away — the closest to Earth since March 1993.

It freaked me out earlier. Turned a corner and through a break in the buildings, there it was, absolutely huge and really low in the sky. Totally wasn't expecting it. It looked like Button Moon.

It was pretty awesome. I started looking for it but with all the trees that surround me couldn't see it till a bit ago and it was amazing!

sucks I just got back from trying to shoot it and there is way to much cloud cover here in San Diego. I may wake up at 5am and catch the setting at the pier.

Does anyone know the best way to take a picture of it? Everytime I have tried it comes out over exposed.
